During weekends this restaurant opt for a mandatory valet service for $60. When we arrived I parked the car myself. After dinner around 10pm we left to collect the car and valet wasn't there. We weren't sure whether the valet service was over or the valet just left. We looked around for 1 min and no one showed up. We didn't give it too much thought, got into the car and left. We made a big turn around to head to the Central direction and passed the restaurant again. We saw the valet and he ran across the street. We stopped at the light and was ready to give him his money. When I opened my window the first thing he said was to accuse us of 'cheating' him. He said he went to the toilet and that we should have waited for him to come back. He had a serious 'chip' on his shoulders.
I wouldn't have parked there in the first place if I didn't want to pay 60 bucks. The valet service isn't permanent and it's not clear when it's there and when it isn't. I have been to the restaurant many times and I just noticed usually it is there during dinner time on weekends.
I called the restaurant to complain and the manager said there were a few complaints with the attendant previously. He said he would get back to me the next day when he's less busy.
I like the restaurant's ambience and the overall food quality is pretty good. The restaurant service is so so but I won't ever go back if they don't do anything about their valet service.
