Came here for a food top-up after a hungry and dissatisfying dinner at Enomod. Interesting interior design with Japanese comics in big format all over the walls. Beautiful dark wooden tables with deep wood brains. Good music, lighting, nice happening vibe. Ox Tongue ($48 per stick) - hot and delicious (though ever so slightly chewy) with just the right seasoning. Kalbi ($38) - really nice tender beef rib. Minced chicken stick stuffed with cheese in egg yolk & soy sauce ($38) - super delicious with some soft bone included to add texture. Cheese provided some good umami. And what could go wrong with egg yolk and soy sauce? Fabulous.
Oyster wrapped with bacon ($38) - two oysters on one stick. Nicely done. Bacon was not too salty or chewy.
Ebi ramen ($58) - came in a small-ish bowl. Delicious prawn-infused soup reminiscent of Malaysian prawn mee soup, with added richness from the miso. The noodles were Sapporo style bouncy thick noodles (my preference over limp white ones so popular these days). The single slice of cha siu was lovely.
