I always walk by this shop and notice it's always full. I wasn't really sure what they served and it  seemed spicy so I didn't try. 面馆皇 (or it's English literal translation Man Guan Wang) is a super tiny noodle shop that serves Northern Chinese noodles such as hand pulled noodles and knife sliced noodles. They also had vegetable rice sets and various Northern Chinese appetizers like Beijing style wontons.

Seating is cramped and but cleaner than I had expected. Menu is in both English and Chinese with a few photos.

Herbal Medicinal Soup in a Hotpot with Zhejiang Black Vinegar Ribs ($58). I noticed pretty much everyone ordered a hotpot medicinal soup combo so I tried this. The noodles were hand pulled and chewy. At first I feared the soup would be too strong in medicinal herbs but in fact it wasn't. I couldn't taste any sort of medicinal ingredient. I could only taste a lot of salt. But the noodles were pretty good and it was a very large portion.

The Zhejiang black vinegar ribs were excellent. Moist and fall apart tenderness. The balance of sweet and sour was perfect. Portions were also huge as usually when I order this, I get one to two ribs cut up in three pieces. Here I got three ribs that they didn't even bother to cut up in bitesize bits.

Pork Chop Curry with Rice ($45). Boyfriend wanted to try the beef brisket curry but they had sold out so pork chop was the back up plan. The pork chop was a bit dry. I guess the beef brisket would have been better. The curry sauce was just super spicy. So spicy I couldn't taste anything. It seems this restaurant serves food that is slightly spicier than most other places as the person next to me ate a Sichuan chili chicken and he claimed it was spicier than expected.

Beijing Wontons Fried on top of Egg ($53). This pork meat was juicy and delicious. The skin not too thick. The last time I had wontons fried on top of an egg was this place that used to be open in Causeway Bay but has now moved to Tsuen Wan. That place seemed to give more egg. But pretty good.

We added $3 for soymilk which was a bit too sweet for me and not enough soybean flavor.

Pretty good and inexpensive noodles with hearty portion size especially in the Causeway Bay area. I would return.
