My friends always wanted to try this place as we never had a chance. Finally we had an excuse to go for my birthday lunch.First we got in everything looks nice and cozy. Atmosphere I gotta say is pretty good. We had a table for 3 people only 2 of us arrived first (a friend running late). We sat down for 10 minutes and no one served us water or asks us if we wanted any drinks. 2 pieces of bread came first as appetizer, so we said we have three ppl and they still didn't give us the extra bread. That's fine. The main dish came and so did my friend. As we ordered a large portion we thought it would be enough for the 3 of us. Ended up the large portions couldn't even satisfy even one of us. For the price of $198 for spaghetti we thought at least it would be bigger. Though the taste was fine normal housemade spaghetti, they sure didn’t name the dish wrong.
We ended up order a dish of gnocchi just to fill ourselves up. But still for $198 we had 10 pieces and it didn't help at all.
The waitress were very pretentious and not attentive at all, we asked for water. The waitress looked and said sure then we ended with empty glasses for 5 minutes. For the price of the food we are paying the minimal we expected was to have a better service.
Please if you have the time, money and small appetite then this is place for you. For others, there are better places in IFC that you can choose for alternatives.
