Went to a recent wine dinner hosted by Vinox, a wine company specializing in a series of exclusive German Rieslings. It was an absolutely enjoyable experience, a 7 course dinner paired with 5 wines and a Cava as an aperitif. One would not guess this type of attention to detail for an everyday go to restaurant. As a lover for Sichuan food and German Rieslings, I love this type of pairing. If Sichuan food is the Yin, then Riesling would be the Yang to complement it. the spiciness is washed away by

As a lover for Sichuan food and German Rieslings, I love this type of pairing. If Sichuan food is the Yin, then Riesling would be the Yang to complement it. the spiciness is washed away by the acidity of the wine and the sweetness cuts through the tingly feeling of the spices.
My favorite dish of the evening was 水煮鱼片， paired with their exclusively distributed 2009 Daniel Vollenweider Krover Steffensberg Riesling Auslese. Such complexity in an aged Riesling. Not available elsewhere in HK and only through Vinox.
Met tons of other wine enthusiasts alike, and a highly enjoyable and relaxing Wednesday evening. definitely recommend to try a wine dinner with Vinox, wont regret it!
