booked the table week in advance for birthday celebration. arrived at 9pm for a late Monday dinner.staff are awesome and super nice as always.for drinks. we order a half bottle of moet and s.pell, fresh cooler and LMC. all are very nice.bread are quite cold when it serve. so that is disappoinent.starters:Caesar salad. normal but the lettuce ain't well dry before dressing so the salad become quite watery.scallops. the scallops are well done. cook just on spot. but the pork belly is a bit too chew

starters:

scallops. the scallops are well done. cook just on spot. but the pork belly is a bit too chewy.

mixed grain. love it. love the goat cheese and the whole things.

salmon artichoke salad. the salmon is perfectly cooked. nice.

main course:

beef Wellington. brilliant as always.love it.

pork belly. it is OK.not as tasty as the pork belly they used to have in BBQ or roasted style. seasoning a bit flat.

beef cheek. way way way way too salty. and it is over cooked. not as tender as it should be. so will not recommend this.

side dish order skinny fries and the mushroom. all are good.

dessert.
banoffe pie. that's super awesome. really tasty but than I always love banoffe pie and banana.

so far it is a good dining experience. not as nice as the last time when I visited the restaurant but it is petty nice. the service is great as always.

一個以麵包為名字的餐廳，細想下便認為是與這裡的名菜有關。在吃主菜前，先來個頭盤。用來搽麵包的是鹽牛油，可惜牛油味不是很足。但另一個頭盤就很出色：雪蟹沙律，以蟹蓋盛載，顯得特別珍貴。蟹肉很鮮甜，很美味。是一個很好的開胃菜。主角少不了招牌菜：Beef Wellington，以酥皮的麵包包住黑松露及牛肉，外層的酥皮鬆脆，黑松露很香，牛肉則非當嫩滑，像是生牛肉但又沒有血水流出，牛味很足，是非常有水準的牛肉烹調法，超好味。

I was trying to plan a special early surprise for my mom's 60th birthday, and was fed the idea to try out a beef wellington masterclass at Bread Street Kitchen. I was intimidated by the name at first, and imagined that it would cost a fortune, but it turned out to be worth every dime with lots of value-added extras as well ;)

A little backstory entails me trying out BSK with my best friend when it first opened back in about 2014/15 (from what i can remember?). We were both super excited to try out a Gordon Ramsey affair, but was left rather disappointed. Both felt it was more style, over substance. Over-hyped.

This time, I was going into it with a fresh look, a second chance - Since Chef Packham was shipped in just 9 months ago with passion, verve, energy and determination to turn the beat around! I am guessing the Masterclass was one of his initiations, so I thought, "why not"? I'm sure glad I did.

My mom had a wonderful time, got drunk, and was merry, and got her hands doughy

We ended the night clutching our bellies and having a laugh with the other guests. The service was warm, attentive and wonderful. Chef Packham was hands-on, friendly, and ever so jolly. We all thoroughly enjoyed the full experience and would definitely go back for many meals to come!

Highly recommend the Masterclass to anyone looking to brush up on their cooking skills, or learn a few tricks to impress the ladies/men. If you're not as ambitious, why not head on over to have a casual but romantic date night with the hot other half, or just with a few lads or girlfriends?

結婚3週年去食好嘢！我同太太都好鍾意睇Gordon Ramsay啲節目，咁當然都要去品嘗下地獄廚神既美食！閒日去，人唔多，加上有訂位，立即有窗邊位坐。先叫兩杯cocktail and mocktail，侍應話係特調，係幾好飲，因為燈光較暗，所以影相都影唔到杯嘢有乜特別。因為某些原因主廚親自出咗嚟同我哋打咗個招呼，估唔到佢都幾靚仔吓！我欣賞佢對食物既認真同負責任無論食物，服務同埋嗰種認真程度，我都只能俾個Like有機會會再食!

話說在下係星期日已經係Book定枱，準備同個朋友就咁搵酒局以外既野做下... Starter因為太餓既關係，2個人完全忘記相機先食。帶子唔洗學Gordon Ramsay係Hell Kitchen咁講"This is like the Fxxking Rubber😠"(Trust me , You didn't need to say this).口感一流,Menu上寫有薑做dressing,完全唔覺有薑味，因為我好討厭薑呢樣野。
雖然食完Starter , 大約15分鐘主菜黎喇。

Rosted Tomato Risotto

意大利飯呀😍其實我第一次食意大利飯，唔可以點做對比。個飯同朋友Share，1人1大舊水牛芝士，正到爆

。幾乎光速咁食完意大利飯，不留痕跡咁。
食完又更係等下啦，果然真係45分鐘上左個威靈頓牛肉。

Beef Wellington

唯一失望，就係我所期待既野失敗左。個酥皮係整得好令，係好味。但係磨菇蓉同中間牛有點失手，磨菇蓉並唔重磨菇味，正確而言，係冇味。而中間牛肉，我真係食唔出佢係牛邊個位，因為太乾，同太難齒開佢。你要我形容…咁我引用我朋友果句「抹手紙同泥」完，當然我唔會就咁算。
老實講我食完唔好食，我係唔會返屋企先至上網唱佢。即場叫人黎收走佢，佢地問係咪有問題，我只係照直講。好啦，之後佢收走左🙁，係好可惜，但係我係好似好撥開雲霧見青天咁，如釋重負。
終於上甜品環節，

Traditional Tiramisu

我既係 Tiramisu。咬左一半，正當我食得津津有味之時，朋友同我講佢揀錯甜品，即係佢又肚痛。(係到我要澄清一下，我朋友係絕對玻璃肚，佢食咩凍野都好，都好快有“感覺”

。但係呢次唔關餐廳事。)
咁好啦~唯有「Bill~ Please」對單。少左個甜品，問返佢做咩落少左個甜品。佢就解釋返，係威靈頓牛肉失準，以示致歉，其中一個甜品Free左同埋下次再去搵返經理,會有驚喜俾我。。。喜出望外。

整體服務感覺，起碼我冇俾人趕走，又或者催埋單。可能因為我有禮貌先掛😂😂😂

From watching is many shows on TV like Hell's Kitchen, Masterchef, F Word, I finally get to try his specials and his food.We sat down on a weeknight dinner at 7pm, not many people were in the place, like the place was a little bit more than half full. We sat down on a weeknight dinner at 7pm, not many people were in the place, like the place was a little bit more than half full. Lighting was dim created a very romantic environment.

We were served with a choice of sparkling water or still water, we ordered still water and was also given the BSK menu.

The menu was a short simple menu with starters, mains desserts and sides. Nice and easy to read, letters are nice and big, not difficult font to read.

Shortly after we were served with some french bread and butter.

Bread was delicious, though it wasn't fresh and was reheated, but the texture was soft, and still very hot. I could taste a strong wheat smell in my mouth that blends well with the butter. Which was also good that the butter was not very salty or very strong.

We wanted to try more mains, therefore we only ordered 1 starter and 2 mains, and since so many people comment that the chicken wings were delicious, we decide to go with that.

Spiced Chicken Wings, spring onions and coriander

The chicken wings were absolutely stunning!!

the taste was overwhelming (in a good way). The skin of the chicken was glazed with sauce that tasted like buffalo but not spicy, and it had a sour onion taste in the sauce. I have no idea what sauce it was, but it was absolutely delicious. The skin glazed in the sauce was crunchy and the chicken meat was cooked to perfection, very tender and juicy meat.

As we just finished the chicken wings the main courses came, and they came almost together. As we pre-ordered Gordon Ramsay's so famous Beef Wellington and his Short Rib burgers.

We started off with the Beef Wellington that was just absolutely mind blowing! I had high expectations for this dish and apparantly, it delivered! The Beef Wellington came in a round shape cut into 2 pieces, pink in the middle. The first cut into the pastry had a really good crunch, very flaky and the beef was super soft, it was like cutting through butter.

The taste was just super overwhelming!

the beef just melted in my mouth, as it was just that soft. There was a mushroom paste surrounding the beef and that taste was so strong, but mild enough not to overwhelm the taste of the beef and pastry. Everything binding together just melted all in your mouth, a few chews and it was gone.

Beef was seasoned, cooked to perfection and it had just a pinch of salt. The mushroom paste was really seasoned well, fresh mushrooms and the smell was incredible!

It was kinda a set, so by ordering the beef wellington we got 2 side dishes, so we picked truffled cauliflower and mac and cheese. I have tried London House and the mac n cheese taste the same, very well seasoned with a thick creamy sauce, macaroni cooked to perfection, not too chewy or over cooked.

And also the other dish of cauliflower, i didn't have that many pieces, but I thought it wasn't that special. The truffle sauce was delicious, the flavour was there, very strong too.

But it was the cauliflower that wasn't very surprising.

Beef Wellington

Beef Wellington & Short Rib Burger

We moved onto the other main that was the Short Rib Burger. Surprisingly, we have read most comments online saying that it was really good and was very tender.

The burger came to us not as impressive as the comments has said. We asked for medium rare but it came like medium.

The burger bread wasn't really that impressive, burger wasn't seasoned very well, I think it was a little over cooked, otherwise, the bacon and veggies went well together with the sauce, which had a little sour sauce, which was quite good on the appetite. But overall the burger was acceptable, maybe we just had high expectations for it.

Short Rib Burger

On the side I ordered a London Beer which taste a little like guinness beer, but I really liked how they served in an old English cup and it was ice cold.

London Draught Beer

Overall this restaurant lived up to Gordon Ramsay's name for sure! Though i think it was quite expensive, but for that type of experience i guess it's worth.

I will definately return to this restaurant again but probably on special occassions.

題外話/補充資料： It does seem the Beef wellington set is up on Wednesday, I'm not sure for other days but i don't see the Beef Wellington on the menu.
