我覺得係三道菜入面最好食的一道。因為佢夠熱。同埋賣相好cute 係有層"衣"係面 。而 咬落去明顯見到好多湯汁係餃入面。 味道亦不錯 。可以一試。
間野另外係會有茶比你選擇 。 而我選擇了"人參綠茶". 杯野係冇味的 即係平時沖茶沖左三。四次的茶味 .叫左待應加左一次茶葉。 但。。。。。都係算吧啦。另外人參兩個字係多餘的。

今天下午和好友到寬窄巷子吃午飯,叫了兩客午飯,女待應態度不大好,問她這菜是什麽,答到不知所喟,叫好了麻煩給两杯水,呢到無水俾,叫八宝茶18或叫豆漿10,態度很差,終於叫了2杯豆漿,到湯來了一飲咸到嘔和隻碗的姴痕很深,見到都唔開胃,两隻餸一個牛腩沙窩3粒硬牛2粒蘿蔔凍的,豆付非常硬和咸,生煎飽凍和硬,掟落街會掟死人,兩個蒸餃又是凍的,叫侍應換了水餃,我說一定耍熱,麵來了好像給乞兒食加埋30多條,水餃來了又是凍的.我非常激氣.我想這間店應該過唔到正月15,影衰晒D香港食肆.

Red Almond has become one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in Hong Kong - it serves excellent Sichuan food in a relaxed, quiet atmosphere.  If you get a table near the window, you can also enjoy views of Causeway Bay.  I have eaten here both for lunch and dinner on numerous occasions, and I have ordered off the set lunch menu and also the a-la-carte menu.  Both menus are excellent.  For Openricers' reference, here is a photo of Red Almond's set lunch menu, which is an excellent value.  I espec

I highly recommend the "wok fried prawns with scallions & coriander" (鹽爆蝦球), which are available on the set lunch menu and the a-la-carte menu -- this dish is absolutely delicious -- the prawns are large and always cooked perfectly, and the relish of scallions, coriander, and garlic are a wonderful accompaniment and do not overpower the flavor of the shrimp.  This dish -- which is not spicy -- is an excellent dish to order to balance out spicier dishes you may also order.  

Some other dishes I also strongly recommend (these are all available on the a-la-carte menu, and some are available on the set lunch menu): mapo tofu 麻婆豆腐 (among the best I've had in Hong Kong), crispy chicken fillet with Sichuan peppers (川味辣子雞), double-cooked pork sauteed with leeks, peppers, and other vegetables 回鍋肉 (I do not recall the exact English name as printed in Red Almond's menu, but I think my rendition here is similar), pot-stickers filled with pork and chicken stock 雞汁鍋貼餃, the pork wontons topped with garlic & chili sauce 老牌龍抄手, and, from the appetizer section, sliced pork belly with garlic, coriander, and scallion 蒜泥白肉 (I do not recall the exact English and Chinese names of this dish as printed in Red Almond's menu, but I think my rendition here is similar).  Red Almond's interpretation of this appetizer dish is extremely novel - it is served in rolls of pork, stuffed with scallion and coriander, and topped with a garlic sauce.

Red Almond is conveniently located in Hysan Place, and the restaurant atmosphere is comfortable, and the decor is elegant (without being pretentious).  Service is friendly and good -- sometimes I have had to chase for a dish I ordered because the wait was a bit too long, but this is very minor, and the service staff was quick to rectify the situation.  A-la-carte main dishes range from approximately 60-130 HKD (note that this is a rough range intended only as a guide), based on what you order.  

In conclusion, Red Almond is now one of my go-to-places when my friends or I want to have non-Cantonese Chinese cuisine.

上次黎已經係一年前,平時太愛食辣,不過身邊D朋友就好少好辣,自從上次之後我真係一直都想返黎食,耐何無人陪我,終於都有機會返黎再戰水煮魚~我地兩個人食都唔使食好多嘢,只係嗌左個雞絲粉皮﹑黃金豆腐蝦仁,當然唔少得水煮魚~不過今次水煮魚無得揀桂花魚…勁失望可能係我太想食,期望太高,雞絲粉皮係冷盤無咩特別,黃金豆腐蝦仁都OK,唔會好咸,清清地~不過最失望嘅就係我期望以久水煮魚…好難食…出黎唔夠熱,D魚肉係硬嘅,無咩辣味,得個油字…簡直令我想喊…係唔係個師父轉左呢?不過今次之後,我都唔會想再黎= =

環境打造得古色古香真係會令人心境平靜D係咁多人煩躁既CWB,一上到黎,係冇咩客人既時間,仲要對住落地大玻璃窗即刻心情都寧靜一D木材傢俱,加上懷舊紙質既餐牌,好有味道依到主打四川菜,我唔食得辣既,叫左個唯一唔辣既雞汁鍋貼餃上到黎有驚喜,個樣幾得意欣賞佢餃子整到有個薄脆KEEP到熱度同入口香脆比起得一隻隻餃子黎講多左層次入面又多餡又JUICY,皮又夠薄煙煙韌一定要叫黎食下另外三樣都係辣的,酸辣豆腐,家鄉鴨舌同鱔段粉絲酸辣豆腐同家鄉鴨舌達到水準豆腐夠滑但冇咩豆香,酸味都唔係好出但整體合格鴨舌就細小左D,唔係好夠肉不過鐘意佢入到酒味,惹味但個鱔段粉絲好失望我誤會左以為係炒的點知只係辣油浸住鱔同粉絲成百元我就覺得好唔值又唔係特別好食但OVERALL黎講對依到感覺唔錯尚有其他菜色都想一試算係有心機既一間店

另外三樣都係辣的,酸辣豆腐,家鄉鴨舌同鱔段粉絲

豆腐夠滑但冇咩豆香,酸味都唔係好出
但整體合格

一次友人聚會,沒想到成為了家鄉菜大比拼!這間店名字和裝修都很有自己的風格,像客棧一樣,有古樸的風味。入座後等了一會兒叫了服務生才上茶,客人不多但是服務不是太積極。水煮魚是一貫必點菜,都是嗜辣之友,上來以後四川的朋友先抱怨花椒少了,魚肉還可以再滑嫩一點,不過做底的粉條絕對是一個驚喜,是上好的紅薯粉,又韌又有彈性,吸收了所有湯汁的精華,一下子就被食個精光!蒜茸炒莧菜是廣東常見的,這盤普普通通的才做得很好,保留了菜的嫩和清甜,又剛好夠味道。最讓我驚嘆的是素菜炒飯,平凡中的不平凡!首先米很好,粒粒入味,素菜清淡卻跟白米飯相得益彰,喜歡吃米飯的朋友一定要嚐!粉蒸排骨是本人點的,實在是大失所望,首先米粉裡少了幾味調料,使得粉的味道不足,其次選用的食材太瘦,這樣沒有油汁滲透出來,讓外面包裹的米粉粒吸收帖服,感覺有點可惜,不過底部的小南瓜不錯,很適合放在這個略微油膩的菜做配食。蟹黃豆腐就不提了,直接讓上海朋友無語。沒有蟹黃的海味,豆腐是超市的百福豆腐,雖然滑嫩卻沒有豆味,不做評論了。總之這次試食有驚喜有失望。

粉蒸排骨是本人點的,實在是大失所望,首先米粉裡少了幾味調料,使得粉的味道不足,其次選用的食材太瘦,這樣沒有油汁滲透出來,讓外面包裹的米粉粒吸收帖服,感覺有點可惜,不過底部的小南瓜不錯,很適合放在這個略微油膩的菜做配食。

蟹黃豆腐就不提了,直接讓上海朋友無語。沒有蟹黃的海味,豆腐是超市的百福豆腐,雖然滑嫩卻沒有豆味,不做評論了。

總之這次試食有驚喜有失望。

希慎內的餐廳已經過了熱潮沒有太多人等位,一入呢間朋友話試下的餐廳即時已經有位,但入座前稱只可座1個半小時.呢間係四川菜餐廳, 每碟都不太大碟,叫了擔擔耳朵麵,其實是可自由選不同麵類,耳朵麵係不夾擔擔麵湯底,應該下次叫返擔擔麵原有麵底比較合適.另叫了串燒雞,牛及豬,越食越辣,但好食,辣到我後尾狂咳.還有叫了生煎包,包下有一塊脆脆的模底連住各包,好食.酸辣湯味道OK總結食物水準OK,但並不驚喜,若在呢度附近又不用等位,可一試,但價錢算中上價格

因為朋友喜歡成都的寬窄巷子,所以為了呢個可能其實沒咩關系的名來試。菜式當然是辣的,但落order時講明小辣,所以辣度可以接受。菜式分量較少,但味道唔錯。蒜泥白肉唔油膩的肉包住蔬菜絲在裏面,配香香的蒜,口感脆脆的很好吃。蝦仁蘿蔔湯清得來幾香,不愛酸辣湯的好推薦。麻婆豆腐特意叫了小辣,應該是豆瓣醬吧,很香微辣,豆腐新鮮送飯最好。土芹木耳很辣,吃不下了。。。特意還叫了不辣的糖醋魚,味道ok。侍應服務唔錯還好細心,唯一不足就是實在太昏暗,連帶位的侍應都問我地桌子的位置比較暗是否介意。想食好東西而已,就算多有情調也不用暗到睇唔到吧,連想影張相都影唔到,再好的裝修也睇唔清楚啊。

點了很多東西: 担担面, 雜醬面, 提督水餃, 薑汁紅豆, 香芹云耳, 蘿蔔湯,豆花, 聖子,炒飯和黃豆飯,還有酥餅等, 味道不錯,最欣賞的是紫著糙米餅, 香甜鬆脆。6個人吃了774元, 不貴。服務也不錯, 店員有禮貌。裝潢很別緻,只是略嫌燈光稍暗--可能要配合深木色傢具吧。

The chicken was truly delicious but seriously spicy, so the cooling effect of the green beans made our second dish create the perfect balance
. Since we asked for our dishes to be prepared with the full authentic chili heat, the manager recommended the special Ginseng infused green tea, a soothing delight to clear the palate so we could enjoy every bite of our meal. Next, we had the Mandarin fish in Sichuan chili pepper broth, poached with assorted wild mushrooms ($138).

The white morsels of fish were perfectly tender, smooth and moist, while the broth was delicately spiced with the unique Sichuan pepper that tingles on the tongue and the wild mushrooms were very flavourful, too.
The Sichuan skewers ($84) came recommended by many guests, so we tried all three types
. They were very addictive indeed, particularly the chicken
. Next we had a round of pot-stickers filled with pork and chicken stock ($50).

The filling was a little mushy, but the texture and taste of the dough was really nice. We then tried the Sichuan “Dan Dan” noodles with minced pork and preserved vegetable in spicy peanut broth ($58). The noodles were nice enough but we probably should’ve had them first, because they tasted a bit too bland after all the chili we already consumed. Last but not least, we sampled two of the desserts, the golden puff pastries stuffed with sweet potato and winter melon ($38)

and the “San Dai Pow” glutinous rice balls with sesame, peanut and syrup ($28). While the San Dai Pow was a fried a little too long and the outside was slightly bitter, the texture of the balls and the taste of the filling were really yummy. The golden puff pastries were the perfect way to complete our delightful meal. Will we be back? Yes, definitely! Finally, a restaurant that delivers. If you’re bored with watered-down bland dishes that claim to be Sichuan; if you crave the real thing – give Red Almond a try!

I rarely will pick to Chinese cuisine, but Red Almond's dishes did impressed me. Thin sliced pork belly with parsley and scallion... not too spicy, doesn't have that oily texture with the pork belly. Very good as an starterDumplings... good flavour and juicy fillings... Traditional 'Sichuan' style rice served in yellow beans...... Highly recommended!!!! Traditional 'Sichuan' style rice served in yellow beans...... Highly recommended!!!! Rice Yellow bean flavour, which the staff said is an old dish from Chef's hometown.

We had one dessert too, but forgot to take photo....
It made with glutinous rice, quite interesting texture and taste...

After a long walk through the recently opened Hysan mall,we entered Red Almond and were immediately in a completely different world:The atmosphere is very relaxing and opaque, the light comesfrom shimmering red laterns and the interieur is kept in dark colors.From the window table one can see the sea of lights of Causewey Bay, so if its for a romantic dinner, thats the seating.In line with Sichuan style we ordered everything extra spicy, and everything came extra spicy Green beans with ginger sa

Green beans with ginger sauce
came with a sour souce and freshly cut ginger, I loved the combination.

Sichuan skewers
The chicken skewers are an absolute highlight and should be ordered by everyone first visiting.
cross grilled from outside and so tender inside. topped with fresh chili. Very yummy!

chicken with herbs and - you guess it - very spicy and tasty

Mandarin fish filet in Sichuan chili pepper broth with wild mushrooms
Tender fish cooked with plenty of chili and Sichuan pepper - absolutely málà (麻 辣)


The waiter was very friendly and considerate and I am glad he recommended the fish filet .

In summary we enjoyed our dinner, the food was excellent, so was the atmosphere.
Definitively a place to come back!
