在九龍區,行圓方商場比較舒服。因為地方大,人較少也不會嘈吵。在中午的時候友人與我選擇來到這間日本料理店吃個午餐。當看完餐牌有散點及套餐後,我們點了兩份特上海鮮丼定食,一客雞翼,以及天婦羅-特上七款盛合。※ 前菜 ※ 喜歡餐廳選用了日本秋葵做冷盤漬物,日本秋葵比泰國的大條,用醋及醬汁醃漬後還很爽脆,內裡的籽也大粒,很好吃很開胃。除此之外還有一小碗沙律菜。※ 特上海鮮丼定食 ※ 這是午市餐牌中價錢較高的定食,全因魚生不是用切頭切尾的,而是厚切的吞拿魚及魚腩部分,也有油甘魚,三文魚,牡丹蝦,海膽,帶子剌身及三文魚子等。魚生及蝦很新鮮,可是三文魚子帶腥味 (新鮮及靚的魚子咬落不會有腥味,而是帶一點海水咸味的鮮),還有海膽份量過少,帶子也太薄了。飯方面還可以的,不是又凍又硬,而是有微溫帶點醋味。定食還加配有一碗麵豉湯及醃蘿白/青瓜片。※ 雞翼 ※ 燒得香口,皮夠脆夠感,肉也嫩沒有雪味,但一客只有兩隻。※ 天婦羅 - 特上七款盛合 ※ 一碟七件內含雪場蟹腳,帶子,蕃薯,小青椒,白飯魚餅各一件,及二隻炸蝦。在日本專吃天婦羅的地方大多以特定的銅鍋去炸,用靚的食油,控制好油的溫度及油炸時間,所以漿較薄,

※ 特上海鮮丼定食 ※ 這是午市餐牌中價錢較高的定食,全因魚生不是用切頭切尾的,而是厚切的吞拿魚及魚腩部分,也有油甘魚,三文魚,牡丹蝦,海膽,帶子剌身及三文魚子等。魚生及蝦很新鮮,可是三文魚子帶腥味 (新鮮及靚的魚子咬落不會有腥味,而是帶一點海水咸味的鮮),還有海膽份量過少,帶子也太薄了。飯方面還可以的,不是又凍又硬,而是有微溫帶點醋味。定食還加配有一碗麵豉湯及醃蘿白/青瓜片。

※ 天婦羅 - 特上七款盛合 ※ 一碟七件內含雪場蟹腳,帶子,蕃薯,小青椒,白飯魚餅各一件,及二隻炸蝦。在日本專吃天婦羅的地方大多以特定的銅鍋去炸,用靚的食油,控制好油的溫度及油炸時間,所以漿較薄,炸得脆及金黃。但這裡的炸漿略厚,炸得過火了一點令食材過熟。天婦羅汁的蘿蔔蓉太少,雖然伴以鹽供客人點著吃,但烹調水準及味道確實失色了。

The good- the food quality:The quality and taste of the food are relatively good. It is not inexpensive but you get what you pay for so the price vs quality works for us.The improving- wait staff and floor manager:Wait staff generally improving, some trained well some not but you can feel from general service they are stressed by the popularity of the restaurant which can easily turn if service levels go worse again.We spoke to one of the short haired floor managers and she was courteous, nice a

The good- the food quality:

The quality and taste of the food are relatively good. It is not inexpensive but you get what you pay for so the price vs quality works for us.

The improving- wait staff and floor manager:

Wait staff generally improving, some trained well some not but you can feel from general service they are stressed by the popularity of the restaurant which can easily turn if service levels go worse again.

We spoke to one of the short haired floor managers and she was courteous, nice and gracefully handled the situation.

The scary/not so good- cook's temper:

The chef/cooks can be mean and temperamental- expressed via the food you get. We ordered the wagyu teppanyaki under grilled robotoyaki menu section. We did not want to grill ourselves so asked if they could cook it inside, the manager said yes.

Well the wagyu came back- with a TON of salt. This brings to mind stories of cooks inside pissed the customer is making him do extra work. This wasn't just oversalting, this was salt dumped throughout the dish.

Reception/front staff: needs improvement, rude initial treatment, like some of reviews below, the message at front is "if you want to eat here you have to eat fast."

Summary: however good the front staff is or can be, it is appalling and scary if the chef/cook attitude can be allowed to show and impact the food. Makes you think of other things they can do to the food if they are not in a good mood.

Horrible experience from the get go. We went around noon today to ask for a table for four. the hostess immediately notified us that we must leave by 1:45pm. Upon seating we asked for a booth table instead of a regular table and she proceeded to tell us for booth we would need to leave by 1:30pm. It was like we were not welcomed to dine at the restaurant at all. It was only 12:15 when we sat down. what a turn off! The food was just so-so and of course, over priced. We will never return.

說真的, 開頭唸, 由頭到尾都係食天婦羅會唔會太激動呀?
但慢慢食落又真係唔會覺好油膩, 加上食材全部都好新鮮, 所以炸出黎的確係同平時食既天婦羅大不同.

辛勞了一整個星期餓足了一天,OT 完後要快快搵野食終於臨離開前試了這間晏晝門口總是很多人排隊無法啦~都叫Element 新餐廳今次21:30 先入黎好彩1個人,餐廳侍應都無藐我咁夜阻人收工咩我都好乖22:30 前食完離座侍應態度都算好好另外要讚,很喜歡他們如日本一樣關心經常要一個人食飯的心情有唔少單邊位讚因為黎梗皮膚要keep 住靚所以唔可以試佢地嘅主打天婦羅住但望到呢個menu, 簡直為為食妹而設有牛有蟹有帆立貝呀。。好啦,我要對自己好一點點了鱈場蟹帆立貝丼食材標明是日本送來帆立貝大隻、鮮甜而且夠多鱈場蟹蟹腳夠大隻肉夠多,味道一樣好甜為食妹唔鍾意食飯但都食左成大碗飯幸好。海鮮不會太肥哦另外跟丼上的味噌湯料沒有馬虎的味道不似是用粉沖出來的十勝牛。為食妹下次再來

反倒喜歡前菜漬物是牛蒡和胡蘿蔔,質地很實在和大件;餐後附加$15一杯即磨咖啡,口感更香濃;魚生飯的份量很足夠,材料也新鮮,雖不突破,但午餐時間和位置的選擇,價錢已很便宜。

食物選擇方面,種類繁多。原以為主打天婦羅,但非天婦羅的選擇反而更多。例如爐端燒,刺身,燒牛肉和多款鍋物等都有。很多是來自北海道的菜色。當然,這樣令我有輕微擔心他們是否真的主打天婦羅,會否是「周身刀,冇張利」。

這店暫時沒有賣酒牌照。但看過他們的酒牌,酒水選擇好像不錯。

我們點了炸八爪魚作前菜,一客十勝和牛鐵板燒套餐,一客豪華刺身拼盤,另加半份馬糞海膽大拖羅

Contrary to my initial expectation, they had a rather comprehensive menu which had of course tempura, plenty of seafood hotspots, tonkatsu/beef steak sets, set dinners, robotayaki and a fairly extensive sashimi menu. (Please check the separate menu photographs.)

炸八爪魚雖然頗為香口,但質地有點韌。只屬普通。

Fried tako: It was crispy but oily and the texture was a bit tough. Not an impressive start I'm afraid.

豪華刺身拼盤內有帶子,三文魚,大拖羅,左口魚,赤身和大蝦。老實說,在「豪華」拼盤內看到三文魚其實已會令人進入戒備狀態。每款都有四片或四件, 份量方面確是不能挑惕,有同行的家人覺得不錯。但較咀刁的我們覺得除了帶子和赤身較為有點鮮味之外,其他則鮮味不突出, 大拖羅甚至有輕微雪藏味。太太覺得刺身切得太大塊,刀功亦有改善空間。

The deluxe assorted sashimi had scallops, ootoro, salmon, engawa, shrimps and akami. To be honest, we were a bit suspicious the moment we saw salmon in the set. Top marks for quantity but a bit lacking with regard to quality. Other than the scallops and akami, the rest didn't have much umami. I suspect because those were kept in the freezer for too long. The way the ootoro and salmon pieces were cut was too thick and not convenient for eating.

分開點的馬糞壽司和大拖羅亦有同樣問題。這兩樣刺身鮮度不足,性價比低,扣了很多分。

The half Bakufun uni ($450) and the four extra pieces of Ootoro ($280) also had the same problem. This significantly dragged the points down for this restaurant.

之後我們要求將蝦頭處理。可以選擇煮湯或炸,我們選擇了後者。炸出來的效果不錯,幫自己補一下鈣質。

You could request for either prawn miso soup or deep fried prawn heads. We asked for the latter. Those were decent enough.

十勝和牛鐵板定食(大致是這樣叫法吧) :份量相當豐富。十勝豚就較為牛肉有名氣。聽說牛肉肉質較為結實,牛肉味突出,算是不錯的。跟餐還有刺身, 美味的釜飯和白身魚湯。這套餐性價比很不錯。讚。

Jukatsu beef set: The set was substantial, with a big bowl of kamameshi (pot steamed rice with shoyu, mirin, chicken meat and various types of fungi), a lovely bowl of fish stew, assorted sashimi and of course, beef.

My wife thought the beef was a bit tough but the beef taste was very pronounced. $350 for this very filling set is definitely a pretty good deal.

其實在這階段,家人已經相當飽。但我堅持點天婦羅,因為我覺得在天婦羅專門店不點天婦羅有點浪費和可笑。排除萬難之後,我點了「天婦羅七點盛」。

幸好結尾一道菜不負眾望,七點天婦羅工有兩隻大蝦,鱈場蟹腳,帶子,青椒,茄子和冬菇。炸漿鬆化,味道很不錯。我一向認為天婦羅點鹽比點汁更能帶出食物的鮮味,尤其是海鮮。但這裏沒有提供鹽,這絕對是應該改善的地方。

這裡的天婦羅不及香港天婦羅一哥「天海」或「一宝」那麼令人驚艷,但以這裡的價錢和質素來說,絕對比很多同類型提供天婦羅日本餐廳(例如剛吃過的三笠屋)優勝。

My family members were pretty full at this time but I insisted in ordering tempura. It would seem pretty odd if we hadn't order tempura at a tempura specialist.

I ordered the 7 seasonal tempura set. It had one taraba crab leg, two shrimps, scallops, shishito, shiitake and egg plant. The tempura batter was crispy yet not too oily. Even though it may not be as good as established tempura specialists such as Tenkai and Ippou, it is still far better than similarly priced Japanese restaurants, Mikazaya, for example. We were happy with the tempura.

I prefer dipping tempura in salt than in sauce. I believe salt brings out the umami of food better than shoyu, especially seafood tempura. They really should provide salt to customers.

總結:
雖然刺身一般,但既然是新店,店方可能還未完全掌握刺身的消耗量和應入貨的份量。我相信過多一會,這問題便可解決,因為看得出店方很有誠意做好的。

和牛鐵板燒定食性價比高,天婦羅亦不負眾望,同樣性價比不錯。店內所有職員都很殷勤有禮。這店很有潛質,絕對可以一試。番吃機會很高。

純以食物和性價比我給這店75分 (應是OK臉), 但由於是新店, 給笑臉以作鼓勵。

The bill came down to about $600 per head. Even though the sashimi weren't that impressive, I'm sure the situation will improve in due course as soon as the restaurant understands the average customer's consumption pattern of sashimi so they won't order too much at any given period.

Having said that, value of the sets is reasonable. There is certainly room for improvement with the tempura but considering the price and the quality, it's still pretty good.

75/100 is "OK" on my normal scale. But since this restaurant is so new, and because of the friendly staff members. I would give this place a smiling face. Worth a try.
