A re-current customer who loves their late-night all-you-can-eat hotpot.
After their recent renovation, been there twice for hot pot. New decor changed the style of the place from a 茶樓 to an actual 酒家. Thumbs up!
Never been to for their yum cha or tea, so I'll just focus on the hotpot.
Now the thing is, whenever you go to these all-you-can-eat hotpots, they always give you an extra low price and make it seem 好抵... Screw that. Even if you don't order anything extra, you will still needa pay extra for the 湯底,n be charged for tea n sauces n whatsoever. Anyway, for this place, altho they claim to charge you only 78 per head, the actual cost is around 110-130 - which is still ok.
Now one of the main selling-points is that they have all-you-can-DRINK - which makes the place a great choice if you've just finished a ball game at night with a bunch of friends, and everybody is starving and extremely thirsty. Even on regular occasions, for a guy like me, I down at least 3-4 cans of beverage thru-out the whole hotpot - so coming here would be a big saver for heavy drinkers.
In terms of food, 2 thumbs up for freshness and variety. They even have 炸魚皮 in their all-you-can-eat list, which was a pleasant surprise as alot of places sell that on side. Also, their meat balls, esp 貢丸, is very good - and also comes in wide variety too. Anyway, you would definitely get back more than then amount you paid.
But one thing - some of their managers are quite poorly mannered. On one incident we were just asking for some extra sauces, and this guy barked back telling us we have to PAY. Alrite alrite, pay mai pay lor, you don't have to bark you know.
