Last night, my friends and I were walking along the streets of Causeway Bay. Everywhere was packed with diners. The food was pretty boring too.. Just as we were walking along the back of Times Square, we noticed this new shop at Holiday Inn Express, 1/F.
We were pretty tired from all the walking. So we decided to try the food and we thought that the menu looks pretty decent.
We ordered quite a few stuff to share among us and a bowl of noodles each.
I had the fish noodles .. which I may say is one of the best I have ever tried. The fish slices are very fresh. The soup is amazingly good without MSG. After drinking the whole bowl of soup, you won't feel thirsty like what you may experience in other restaurants.
The common things we shared are teriyaki chicken, eel, clams in wine and the deep-fried squid. The teriyaki chicken is so great that we have ordered two plates. It doesn't taste the same anywhere else. It's so crispy on the outside and tender in the inside.
The clams in wine is delicious too.. However the wine taste may not be as strong to some's likings. Yet the clams have this certain sweetness as you put them in your mouth.
The eels are very fresh too. And there's no bones inside. Personally, I hate to eat anything with bones.
The fruit juices are also available in this shop. It's very affordable as well. If you have ordered a bowl of noodles, the fruit juice is only $12 per cup. This is definitely one of the cheapest you can find in causeway bay with that kind of environment.
In short, this place is definitely going to be my new hangout place with my friends. The environment is good and the food is great. No wonder, it's called Happy Face Noodles. After eating, you will definitely feel happy.
