Have been calling and trying to book this place for dinner many times but to no avail. No one picks up. Anyways, walked in for a table for 2 at around 8pm on a weekday and was offered a table which has not been cleaned. The waitress only cleaned it when she was asked to. Saw a live cockroach on the floor before the food arrived. One of the waiters was reluctant to even catch it, but continued socializing with other dining guests. Foodwise, we ordered a rib-eye steak, clams and cuttlefish spaghet

Foodwise, we ordered a rib-eye steak, clams and cuttlefish spaghetti and fried kale. The rib-eye steak was more like medium-rare than medium.. tasted meatless, too charcoal-y and chewy. The spaghetti was too salty and watery. And for the fried kale.. as seen from the picture below it looked and tasted very burnt. Also too salty. We couldn’t finish the whole dish.

The restaurant badly needs a review of its food quality and hygiene level.

Visited their Quarry Bay branch for the first time and it’s a lot more spacious than their Kennedy Town branch. Love minimalistic decor with orange 🍊 being the main colour throughout, great place for an Aussie style branch, although the music was a little loud for my liking. Food was delicious😍, very generous portion size, and each dish was beautifully presented and you could just taste the freshness and quality of the ingredients used, depth of flavour and variety of spices used to elevate each

🦀 Soft shell crab - spicy mayo, pickled cabbage, coriander, brioche (with fries) - HKD 178
Super fluffy toasty brioche (although a bit too burnt) paired with a huge soft shell crab that was both crispy and meaty, a delicious combo! Also really enjoyed their fries, way more airy than your typical fries, hence can gobble down way more much quicker 😉

🦑 Clam & cuttlefish - squid ink spaghetti, shallots, Thai basil, XO sauce, white wine, fresh tomato - HKD 168
Love the aroma of the seafood stock, paired with the acidity of the fresh cherry tomatoes, a kick of spiciness from the xo sauce and a refreshing touch of Thai basil, each mouthful was delicious, I do wish the pasta was cooked a little softer though and it could also use a little less oil. Regardless, would definitely recommend and can’t wait to try other items on their menu!

The fish and chips - batter was quite light and not oily. Chips were wide-cut wedges fried just long enough. The spicy sausage rigatoni was well seasoned. Pasta was al dente and the taste was becoming a bit salty towards the end.The fish burger was juicy and tender. Not overcooked. The bun was lightly toasted👍The soft shell crab burger really stood out. It was crisp, not oily and well seasoned as well. Lunch entree ranges from $168-$188. Ambience was average and service was okay.

裝修是現代風格,幾靚。鰂魚涌這邊一至五lunch time係好多辦公室人士覓食。我們周日吃brunch,人流小好多,無book位但係唔洗排隊。我點咗素食的beet root burger。塊 burger係有豆和beet root,口感當然無牛肉burger嘅質感和juice,不過味道尚算濃郁,但係食食吓會變形做一pat嘢,會有點食sandwich嘅感覺不過變左個burger bun。配上薯條很飽。這裡很多人吃完就點杯咖啡慢慢坐傾偈。很chill。

One of my favorite Aussie eatery now in Quarry Bay! The chill vibe, the food, the friendly staff, it’s probably the closest of Australia I can get in HK. Dirty Egg $148 (+$35 chorizo)
my absolute favorite dish here, it’s creamy, a little spicy, rich and crispy all in one. The egg yolk and spicy mayo running all over the crispy paprika potato gems and avocado. Don’t forget to add the chorizo which brings another layer of salty smoky flavor that make it even more delicious!

The squid ink pasta is so al dente served with very light vibrant sauce with thai basil, white wine and fresh tomato, added a little bit of kick and umami from the xo sauce and of course the clams. Tasted really fresh.

I wasnt expecting this to come as a omelette rice, a flat scrambled egg covering the saffron basmati rice served with some duck breast. Slightly disappointed at the duck breast as it was overcooked, a bit tough and dry. Could use some more saffron in the rice as the flavor didn’t quite come through. The saving grace was actually the soy chili sauce served on the side, the powerful salty umami Southeast asian flavor goes so well with the rice, adding much needed flavor to the dish.

CATCH is newly opened in Quarry Bay!!! Been to their branch in Kennedy Town before and really liked it, super happy to find it here in QB!! 😍 The variety of food choices is much more, and the environment is a lot more comfy and more spacious!! Food is amazing as usual, with set lunches for weekdays and brunch for weekends.
