之前睇open rice, 見到Cedele 上左top 10, 一直好想試吓佢出名嘅班蘭蛋糕,今日終於坐言起行。大約4點唻到,唔太多人,自己搵位坐低後,等左一陣都冇人理我地,我揚手叫人都等左5分鐘,終於有侍應比水同餐牌,再等左5分鐘先有侍應落單,我地點左班蘭蛋糕同green booilos tea. 個茶好快嚟左,蛋糕反而耐d. 杯茶味道幾特別,餐牌介紹你冇發酵過嘅茶,冇咖啡因,有relax嘅作用。班蘭蛋糕份量唔細,外型都幾靚,面頭係班蘭cream cheese,兩層班蘭海綿蛋糕夾住咖吷,外層都鋪左薄薄班蘭cream cheese 同椰絲。第一口,有好濃郁嘅新加坡風味,班蘭味同椰子味好勁,個人都幾鍾意班蘭味,不過麻麻地椰子味,件蛋糕嘅椰子味太勁,有點蓋過左班蘭味,再食多幾口,好膩好甜,慶幸我叫左熱茶(本身有唸過叫熱朱古力),杯茶解膩一流,冇左佢一定食唔晒件蛋糕。題外話,依度嘅服務真係有待改善,我食食吓,想叫侍應比杯熱水我,我足足等左15分鐘,本身接我要求嘅侍應,聽完好似無左件事咁,想叫第二個侍應,佢地又好似見你唔到咁,叫極都唔理人。其實餐廳當時冇咩客,都咁樣嘅服務,再多人d點算?

題外話,依度嘅服務真係有待改善,我食食吓,想叫侍應比杯熱水我,我足足等左15分鐘,本身接我要求嘅侍應,聽完好似無左件事咁,想叫第二個侍應,佢地又好似見你唔到咁,叫極都唔理人。其實餐廳當時冇咩客,都咁樣嘅服務,再多人d點算?

After having dim sum with my family, my cousin suggested to visit Cedele for their cakes.  I was surprised to find out that this place is a Singaporean franchise. Environment & Hygiene:The environment was okay, but somehow it didn't give off a grand feeling that I felt it was trying to portray. I liked the long table that the 6 of us were seated at. The height was just right. Hygiene could improve, as I saw a manager type person wiping his nose with his hand, which made me a bit uncomfortable se

Service:
The staff who served us was patient, friendly and helpful. She explained to us the sets they had and the different drinks that came with the sets. 


Taste & Value:
The staff suggested that we get the Tea set for 2, which was a daily selection of cakes with 2 drinks for $105. We got two of them. To be honest, I was disappointed when the sets arrived, since there was no cake. There was no sign of their famous Pandan cake or any other sorts of cakes. 
 I felt misleaded by their wording of "selection of cakes", as the only cake there was was the cupcake in the centre.

Pandan Cupcake The best tasting thing out of the 2 sets. The texture of the cake was nice and moist, and the pandan icing was protrudent. 
 Oh man, how I wanted to try the cake after eating this! 

Chocolate Brownie This was so so. It didn't have the gooey brownie texture. 
 It didn't have much taste. 

Bar This was surprisingly good. I liked the dry crumbs on the outer layer. I was very happy that there were nuts, and pumpkin seeds in it. 
 They did it for me!

Chocolate Cupcake Like the pandan cupcake, this one also had a moist texture.

Chocolate Biscuit Cake
 I think of the Royal Wedding when I see this cake,
 because if Prince William didn't choose it as his wedding cake, I wouldn't have known that this is a very traditional British cake. 
 This was not bad. Bites with the berries were quite sour and the rum taste was very strong, which I enjoyed.

Roasted Hazelnut Latte This drink smelt very good, and the syrup didn't give it an artificial taste. 

The other 2 drinks that I didn't get to try were a Caramel Latte and a Hot Chocolate

Final Verdict:
I think if we would have stuck with their signature cakes, I would have been more satisfy. I will have to try them next time, along with their food.

觸電般不可思議 不同於任何意義你就是綠光 如此的唯一《綠光 ﹣孫燕姿》經過上環的新加坡健康麵包店Cedele發現了Pandan Cream Cake!二話不說就買了個嘗一嘗雖然忌廉蛋糕不能與戚風同日而喻但蛋糕質感也未免太過厚實斑蘭味亦未見特別濃郁.....但值得一讚的是斑蘭芝士忌廉細滑之餘帶點微鹹加上淡淡的斑蘭味和椰子香算是個很有東南亞口味的出品只是....我還是比較喜歡我的夢之斑蘭戚風(Bengawan Solo 的Pandan Chiffon Cake)...

發現了Pandan Cream Cake!
二話不說就買了個嘗一嘗
雖然忌廉蛋糕不能與戚風同日而喻
但蛋糕質感也未免太過厚實
斑蘭味亦未見特別濃郁.....
但值得一讚的是斑蘭芝士忌廉細滑之餘帶點微鹹
加上淡淡的斑蘭味和椰子香
算是個很有東南亞口味的出品
只是....我還是比較喜歡我的夢之斑蘭戚風(Bengawan Solo 的Pandan Chiffon Cake)...

Cedele 是新加坡的過江龍。賣的食物種類不少,像麵包、三文治、cupcake、意粉、蛋糕都有。感覺和此店舖的前身Pret A Manger 很相似。聞說為保風味,不少原材料如麵粉都是專程由新加坡運到香港呢。Pandan Cake 斑蘭蛋糕 HK$40/片cedele 的斑蘭蛋糕是走更精細的路線。高身的斑蘭海綿蛋糕,中間夾一層椰子吉士醬(看上去好似咖央),外層塗上斑蘭cream 和撲上薄薄一層椰絲。光看用料已經有重重的東南亞風味。可惜由上環舟車勞頓回到屯門的家,可憐的斑蘭蛋糕已經軟倒變形,貌甚寢。要靚樣還是應該好好坐下吃呢。不過還是無損味道。這個蛋糕的海綿蛋糕部份真的極為完美! 100分! 蛋糕底夠彈性、夠綿密、夠濕潤、夠滑身,又香又甜斑蘭味也突出。想不到有甚麼可以挑剔,也想不起哪家餅店的海綿蛋糕有如此功力。味道上卻不太得我心。斑蘭香味雖然令我著迷,但配上斑蘭cream cheese 和椰子吉士内餡,味道真的不簡單不清爽。因為用上忌廉芝士和椰子,味道上總會有帶點咸咸的。咸甜交織的味道總是來得特別濃郁,多吃幾口始終會覺得膩。更何況我是獨力吃掉一整塊呢? 奉勸各位還是找朋友一同試吃較好。

可惜由上環舟車勞頓回到屯門的家,可憐的斑蘭蛋糕已經軟倒變形,貌甚寢。要靚樣還是應該好好坐下吃呢。不過還是無損味道。這個蛋糕的海綿蛋糕部份真的極為完美! 100分! 蛋糕底夠彈性、夠綿密、夠濕潤、夠滑身,又香又甜斑蘭味也突出。想不到有甚麼可以挑剔,也想不起哪家餅店的海綿蛋糕有如此功力。

星期五來Cedele吃晚飯。小妹已在早兩天致電來預約,還特意希望餐廳為我們留下一件超級人氣的Pandan Cream Cake,以免來到失望。謝謝接線的願意幫忙。地點很方便,上環地鐵站Exit E5一出便到。準時跟朋友進去,入面蠻安靜,不見得有音樂,或許輕聲到不太覺。餐廳樓底很高,燈光較暗,座椅亦是梳化類,整體氣氛很好。侍應送上餐牌和一杯水。餐牌沒有中文和圖片,十分簡潔,只懂中文的人大概不可能走入來吃。九成食物是散叫的,order mains 可加$25點飲品或餐湯,或者$40加飲品和餐湯。我一向對burger不能抗拒,所以叫了Beef Portobello Burger。朋友想吃Pasta,所以點了Shrimp Aglio Olio Penne。另外再點了Wild Mushroom Soup。麵包和湯同步送到。麵包是冷的,啡色是核桃麵包,兩片薄薄的,有點乾。白色長長的麵包面上有些椒類的碎,吃圯來帶點辣,竟比核桃麵包好吃,但仍然是很乾,連湯一同吃比較好。Wild Mushroom有很香的薯仔味道,湯是用薯蓉打成的,沒有加入任何的忌簾。吃下真的有creamy的質感,加上蘑菇味道不錯,比一

餐牌沒有中文和圖片,十分簡潔,只懂中文的人大概不可能走入來吃。

九成食物是散叫的,order mains 可加$25點飲品或餐湯,或者$40加飲品和餐湯。

我一向對burger不能抗拒,所以叫了Beef Portobello Burger。朋友想吃Pasta,所以點了Shrimp Aglio Olio Penne。

另外再點了Wild Mushroom Soup。

麵包和湯同步送到。

麵包是冷的,啡色是核桃麵包,兩片薄薄的,有點乾。白色長長的麵包面上有些椒類的碎,吃圯來帶點辣,竟比核桃麵包好吃,但仍然是很乾,連湯一同吃比較好。

Wild Mushroom有很香的薯仔味道,湯是用薯蓉打成的,沒有加入任何的忌簾。吃下真的有creamy的質感,加上蘑菇味道不錯,比一般的忌簾湯少了油份,似糊多過湯。女生獨個幹掉會很飽,已經是一碗半飯的份量。

Pasta和Burger再一同來到。

蝦爽口而且有蝦味
長通粉硬了一點,但它的青檸汁酸酸甜甜,有點像冬陰公的南洋風味,吃起來很開胃,亦很合拍。長通粉亦充分吸收了青檸汁,很好吃,這個我推介。

如相所見,除了有蕃茄和生菜外,還加了深色甜甜的醬 onion marmalade。份量少得令我覺得多餘了一點,不見得能提升整體味道。而且牛肉已經非常入味,亦很柔軟,不是昔簡單同絞肉碎機造出來的牛肉餅,吃起來不鞋口,又沒有根,很好吃。

Portobello亦很新鮮,不會乾巴巴和有橡膠的質感,切起來完全不用吹灰之力,非常好。

薯條炸得偏油,但是新鮮炸起的話亦很美味。粗薯條的truffle seasoning亦不馬虎,怕油膩的我也忍不住吃幾條^__^

最後等到我最想吃的班蘭蛋糕。原來當天此蛋糕真的在tea time售罄了…我本想打包一個亦沒有機會。

班蘭雪芳蛋糕很好吃,蛋糕甜和很鬆軟有彈性,加上咖央cream在中間十分好吃。

上面有椰子味的班蘭cream。cream單吃比蛋糕更甜,椰汁味有如馬來西亞買來的椰子糖。單吃很好吃,但配上清香的蛋糕便大大減弱了蛋糕的斑蘭味,未免太可惜了。你總不能噴上淡花香的香水在頸上後再用甜甜的果味狠狠地噴在下巴和耳背。

所以這蛋糕我不太推呢…反而mains令人有驚喜!全單才HK$324.5,不算貴啊!而且環境和服務都不錯~跟朋友或情人來也是非常適合的。

這個可說是Cedele的招牌dessert吧!原全沒有令我失望啊!
斑蘭忌廉芝士味道香濃,中間夾有咖咉醬,香氣四溢。
平時怕cream的我今次都不留餘地的把整件蛋糕吃清光呢!

Very Berry Cheesecake

這個可說是有點兒失望。cheesecake味道很普通的加了點berry味,但只是個普通的凍餅,平平無奇,可能就是因為斑蘭蛋糕太爆了吧!

先說ABG,我給十分!!真的超喜歡!喝了一口很想繼續喝下去,欲把不能啊!那很爽很鮮的味道。



ABC給我的印象也不錯,好奇地問了問waiter其實是怎樣為ABC Juice取名的,原來是解Green Apple, Beatroot and Carrot,並含高vitamin C和葉紅素(簡稱胡蘿蔔素)


而上述我最愛的ABG解Green Apple, Beatroot and Ginger.啊!是Ginger的存在!
還寫道: 'a definite red blood purifier, friendly to the liver and aids digestive health. High in antioxidant, Vitamin C E, Irone, Carotene.'
說得真好啊!健康又好喝何樂而不為呢!

整體來說,服務一流,環境舒適,交通方便,食物亦令人一試難忘!
有機會還想嘗嘗它的意粉類呢!

I was about to have some dinner as well so I got seated in the restaurant area which was quite spacious and comfortable (10% service charge applies).

The Pandan Coconut Cupcake was really green! The frosting was full of coconut flavour and the cake was moist. But the cake was too sweet for my liking.

I managed to stay till dinner time where a separate menu was served. The set dinner menu hadn't got any veggie choices so I went a la carte.

The mains at Cedele are gluten-free (although I don't think the cupcakes are!). The only veggie option is Vegetable Stacks ($150)  which is practically a big stack of grilled vegetables: a Potato Kumara Cake topped with eggplant, red peppers and a Portobello Mushroom and some greens, swimming in a tomato coulis scented with marjoram. Hmm you all know what grilled veggies taste like and I'm glad that they effectively brought out the sweetness of the vegetables by grilling and added a bit of tang to it with the tomato coulis.

Althought I'd more want to see more of the yummy items available in Singapore, like Warm Tofu Salad With Edamame And Mushrooms, burgers and Black Pepper Crab Linguine being brought to HK soon!

And before I forget, I ordered the Organic Green Rooibos ($30) to go with my cupcake before dinner. Rooibos is a kind of red bush and is commonly regarded as a caffeine-free alternative to conventional leaf tea. Slightly herbal, and a little nutty, it is a good start for a peaceful evening. And then I spotted on the main menu that I could just pay $25 for the tea if a main was ordered...upon receiving the bill I asked a more senior member of the staff (manager?) about it and he gladly updated the bill for me.

I may not come back very often for the cupcakes, but I guess the other bakery items are woth a try too.

雖則沒有餐湯也送來麵包,幸好一早有暖水供應,不然我們就要乾啃了;兩款忘記名字的鹹味麵包相當美味,圖中一款有著如洋蔥的香氣,另一款長形麵包有著蒜香,麵包質感很有咀嚼勁,跟港式或日式的香軟不同,看來這店的麵包也有點水準哦。

自己點的是烤羊扒,再次沒品味的要全熟,因而羊扒顏色比朋友們的半生熟的更深色表面烤得更焦,看似全熟其實中間還是有點粉紅色,這生熟度仍可接受;三支羊扒蠻有羊味,肉質柔軟有著焦香,尤以外圍的一層脂肪更為香腴,所配的不是薄荷醬而是香草醬,清幽香草醬配羊扒又是另一種特別食味。

伴羊扒的是組合特別的沙律,細數下有著青瓜、南瓜、小蕃茄、洋蔥、芫茜及薄荷葉,分別有著爽脆、香軟、甜美、微辛、獨特及清新的口感及香氣,配以像乳酪似的沙律汁,要是以這盤沙律作主菜我也願意。

滿滿一杯炸薯條炸得酥脆香軟,薯味十足的炸薯條令本來不能吃炸物的兩位病人破戒,最後全歸可以吃炸物的朋友們,真羨慕耶。

晚餐的Sweet Ending選了Brownie,跟麵包一樣都是即場在餅櫃裡拿出來的;長方形的布朗尼香軟如一般朱古力蛋糕,沒有香脆表面,蠻夠濕潤的布朗尼很有朱古力香,甜中有甘的食味也很不錯,好味。

最上層如波浪的奶油物體應是忌廉芝士,有著淡淡班蘭香,較實在的滑溜口感不如鮮忌廉般輕軟,多吃也會覺得有點膩;綠色蛋糕如海綿蛋糕般鬆軟,中間夾有一抹椰香豐富的微甜咖央醬,班蘭及咖央兩種南洋色彩濃厚的食味相當搭配有趣,蛋糕側抹上椰絲裝飾,那沙沙椰絲口感及椰子味令我想起兒時常吃的嘉頓神仙蛋糕, 這是一款沒有一定年紀不會知道的一款嘉頓出品。

兩次光顧也點了香茅茶,以香茅茶包沖泡而成的香茅茶,茶香有著香茅味外還有點點檸檬香,清清的香料味熱茶用來配蛋糕真的很不錯,想不到這杯香茅茶還有通鼻塞效用,鼻子喉頭即時暢通滋潤很多,爽!!

下午茶及晚餐時段的服務也很好,無論兩位負責人及侍應也很有笑容,甚至為了生日牌上的中文字寫得不太美觀而來電道歉,實在有禮。

Came here to have dinner with some girlfriends. The decor of the restaurant is very nice. Although the restaurant was quite full at the time, however the openness of the restaurant allowed us the quietness for a nice catch up. Beef Portabello burgerne of my favorite! Had it the first time when I came for lunch. Their home baked bread is delicious! The thickness and juiciness of both the beef and Portabello complimented each other. Beef Portabello burger:
One of my favorite! Had it the first time when I came for lunch. Their home baked bread is delicious! The thickness and juiciness of both the beef and Portabello complimented each other. Overall the burger was very yummy and doesn't feel too oily at all!

Beef aligo olio pasta:
What a pleasant surprise! The beef fillet was very juicy, not dry at all! The meat was very flavorful. The pasta was nice and light! Felt very healthy. Linguine was cooked at perfect al dente! 

Fish pesto pasta:
Fish was sweet and skin was perfectly seared. A nice and simple pasta! I was very impressed by the generous amount of fish they gave us. 

Dessert:
How can you not have their cakes! 

The sea salt caramel cheesecake had a nice dense texture to it. The sea salt gave the caramel a really nice subtle kick. 

Chocolate banana espresso cream cake: what can go wrong with the combination of banana and chocolate? The cake doesn't look as heavy as it looks! The oat meal on top of the cake gave it a nice texture.

* 吃了三款蛋糕而 topping 或餡料中也是厚厚的 cream cheese ~ 是美味的, 但吃多了也實在太膩吧

* 另外想說當時樓面只有應是老闆與另外一個員工, 變成有時會較難才得到服務

* 看見廚房與餅櫃內另有數名員工, 但不知何解出餅時間仍然偏慢

題外話/補充資料: 分別試了三杯飲料與三件蛋糕, 得出結論是這兒的蛋糕遠比咖啡出色得多 * 看來餐廳要放多點時間在研製咖啡上了

呢間係新開一個星期的餐廳,通常新開的都會足料啲,所以同朋友就揀呢度聚餐。餐湯係磨菇雞湯,真係好足料,好多菇,仲要多固一種菇類,不過湯底似中湯。意粉偏硬,但帶子有鮮味,sauces都好味。推薦斑蘭木頭蛋糕,好有斑蘭味,同有啲lemon味,食完一啲都唔漏。斑蘭朱古力蛋糕就好漏,有啲heavy,只食到朱古力味。服務生講英文,但識聽中文。

As I had a tasting, I decided to go for something light so tried the cakes.

I was delighted to see lots of pandan flavoured cakes, which made me realize it was Singaporean.

The staff there were really nice and spoke American English and you would expect a truly Singaporean brand to speak fluent English or at least Singlish because this is their native language.
It surprises me that Singapore has better English speakers and Western brands than Hong Kong because Hong Kong is more internationally well known but lacks good fluent English speakers.
The GDP of Singapore is overtaking Hong Kong over these few years.

Back to the delicious cakes!!

This was the first pandan cake I have tried, the ones I have tried before were the chiffon ones which were not as fancy as this.
The cake had a lovely strong taste and smell of pandan.
In the middle the kaya paste and the coconut shreds topping on top made it more coconutty.

This cake was too heavy for my liking because the chocolate truffle layers were strong and dense so it felt like eating a bar of dark chocolate.
Although it was too strong, it was nice that it was not too sweet.

Compared to the Pandan cake above, there was more proportion of pandan buttercream in the middle and less of the cake.
Overall, I felt that the pandan cake tasted better because it was more satisfying.

Although I did not have it reheated, it tasted amazing.
It would have been divine if it had been warm because the abundance of spring onions in it made it moist and flavoursome and the cheddar cheese was lovely and cheesy.
