I was first introduced to Daddyos via Open Rice and given the relatively good comments, my boyfriend and I decided to give it a go.We went for dinner on a Friday night at around 7pm. It was a good thing that I had made prior reservations as the restaurant is really tiny and cramped with minimal seats. It reminds me much of a mini deli rather than a pizzeria.Note: The dinner crowd comes in around 7.30pm. But it is wiser to make a booking before hand.We ordered pizza, a cabonara pasta and a basket
We went for dinner on a Friday night at around 7pm. It was a good thing that I had made prior reservations as the restaurant is really tiny and cramped with minimal seats. It reminds me much of a mini deli rather than a pizzeria.
Note: The dinner crowd comes in around 7.30pm. But it is wiser to make a booking before hand.
We ordered pizza, a cabonara pasta and a basket of fries. All of which were sinfully delicious and unforgetting good. The pizza was thin crust, generously topped with cheese and layered sumptuously with ingredients. Every bite was pure delight.
Not being a fan of cream pasta, my boyfriend ate the whole plate. According to him, the pasta was really well done and he enjoyed it a lot.
The fries were also good. They were neither over cooked nor soggy.
Service was not bad. The waitress could converse in English, which would be a boon for non-Cantonese speaking individuals and was quite attentive throughout the meal.
The downside to dining at this restaurant is the lack of space. We were seated at the counter and it was incredibly uncomfortable. Not only was it tiresome to climb on and off the high seats, the metallic panels under the table prevent you from settling your legs comfortably. In fact, I walked away from the restaurant with a couple of abrasions as a result. That said, I would not advise a large crowd to dine at Daddyos. There simply isn't enough space to accommodate a party larger than 4.
The dining experience was also spoilt by the countless times the waitress had to ask me to shove my seat in a lil' further when it was simply impossible to do so just so that she could serve the tables seated directly behind us.
All in all, the cramped seating space was overridden by the delicious food. I would strongly encourage you to give this restaurant a shot. It will be worth your while.
