吃完主菜後,果然送上驚喜……,他們花了些少心思… 推砌了一客甜品及特別調教了一杯cocktail送上祝賀生日快樂的心意!整體而言,各服務員非常友善,態度誠懇有禮,用餐感覺良好
只可惜自助吧的甜品及生果補充略嫌不足!
題外話/補充資料: 如果從中環步行至餐廳,可選擇穿過中環中心,從皇后大道中沿著卑利街一直上到荷里活道交界便是餐廳正確位置!

I live around the corner from Fresh Modern Kitchen and had been keen to try the set lunch here for the last few weeks. I was happy I finally did.There is a set lunch menu with a range of dishes ranging from $130 - $150. All dishes come with soup, a buffet of charcuterie and salad and tea/coffee and dessert. I live around the corner from Fresh Modern Kitchen and had been keen to try the set lunch here for the last few weeks. I was happy I finally did.

There is a set lunch menu with a range of dishes ranging from $130 - $150. All dishes come with soup, a buffet of charcuterie and salad and tea/coffee and dessert. Or you can have just the soup, buffet, tea/coffee and dessert for $118.

The soup of the day was cream of cauliflower, it was very tasty and I probably could have had a second bowl of it. I opted for the pan fried sea bass fillet as a main, it came with thin slices of potato beneath the fillets. The dish was perfectly cooked with the skin on the fillet very crispy and flesh moist.

My friend had the spaghetti with shrimp and wild mushroom. The aroma of pesto coming from this dish as it was put down on the table made me think I will come back to try this dish. The portion of this dish was more generous than the sea bass.

The coffee was good and a exquisite but small portion of chocolate brownie was served for dessert. The brownie came with a passionfruit (I think) coulis and some small bits of strawberry which tasted as if they had been marinated.

I will definitely go back to Fresh Modern Kitchen to try some of their other dishes.

呢度既沙律令我忍唔住要幫手清碟!加左美國紅石榴、柚子、血橙,酸酸甜甜,的確超級refreshing!比起一般加甜醋、柚子醋既更為特別!

酸薑帶子又係fusion菜,帶子極級滑溜、新鮮,配上酸薑,一口KO!

呢度既長通粉同扁意粉都煮得正宗,口感偏有咬口,唔會太腍太軟,剛剛好。蕃茄味同呑拿魚味都調得好濃郁特出,汁好惹味。上面既龍蝦同蟹腳,亦無overcook,肉質依然鮮嫩!

牛扒大約係七成熟,但都無韌,依然嫩滑富牛味。但我最欣賞既,係旁邊既紫薯蓉!一般都只會用普通薯蓉,呢度用上紫薯。而且紫薯蓉十分清甜幼滑,令人耳目一新!就算飽都忍唔住要不停再食!

最後到甜品。雖然唔係呢度既主打,但水準都唔錯。
藍莓芝士蛋糕好軟滑,芝士用料上盛,食得出好香濃既芝士味道。Creme brulee既焦糖面有燒脆,內裏嫩滑,但cream味可以再濃d!

These were huge and sweet with a lovely basil aroma.
I loved the big shells because they were great for holding the broth that the clams were in because the broth was delicious as well.

The beef and lamb were juicy and tender and the side of gravy they give you has a strong meat juice taste.

althogh it's conveniently located at the junction of hollywood road and peel street, we missed it the first time we walked pass it on hollywood road as the entrance is on peel street..so you should turn left once you passed quinary (if you walk from central towards sheung wan direction)i really like the layout of the restaurant with a lot of space and particularly the bar table near the row of windows overlooking hollywood road and peel street...definitely good place for couple of drinks with go

i really like the layout of the restaurant with a lot of space and particularly the bar table near the row of windows overlooking hollywood road and peel street...definitely good place for couple of drinks with good vibe...

tried one of their signature cocktails with lemongrass infused vodka...very refreshing and alcohol is not very strong...would recommend it

we had manchego and iberico ham toastie with black truffle pate...the toasties are crispy and the saltiness of the ham blend in so well with the black truffles
 (10/10)

we also had the salmon and scallop carpaccio as starter...it's a complicated dish with so many flavors...just a little bit too salty but still taste delicious (8/10)

next we had the ribeye (6/10) which was on the chalk board as "today's special" and razor clams linguine (7/10) for the main course. The ribeye was a little disappointing in that the meat was a little rough and chewy...probably cos fresh modern kitchen is famous for its seafood rather than steak...the linguine met expectation but not "wow"

we had blueberry cheesecake for dessert and it's very good...sweetness just right and texture was sooth...(8/10)

really loved the place for its space, its vibe, its food and its drinks. although all tbales are filled, it's not too noisy probably cos they opened all windows. Will definitely try some of the seafood on "today's special" the next time i visit again..

好友C小姐最近轉了新工作,那是一間很不錯的大公司,更重要的是合適她的工作模式,以及她喜歡的工作環境,作為多年好友我們當然替她高興,於是趁著這個週末大家正好都有空閒時間,就相約出來相聚慶祝一番。碰巧早前聽友人介紹了一間位於中環蘇豪區,新開沒多久的Asian fusion西餐廳,如是就決定一行三人去嚐嚐。我們從IFC開始走,乘中環至半山自動扶梯,十多分鐘左右就來到荷李活道,走著走著就看到投射在隔壁大廈外牆上倘大的餐廳投影招牌。拐個角就來到餐廳門口所在的卑利街,餐廳門面採用一系列的黑色及深木色調,給人一種時尚,而又帶點神秘的感覺。入門口是酒吧位置,這裡的專業調酒師會按客人的喜好口味而介紹適合的Cocktail或Mocktail,此外當然還有紅酒、白酒、香檳、啤酒等供應。另一邊是半開放式廚房,旁邊有一塊Chef's Special黑板,上面寫上了Today's Special & Cocktail of the day,其中部份更是menu上沒有的特別菜式。室內以水泥地面配以木製餐檯椅,設計充滿亞洲風情,加上柔和的燈光,以及旁邊的一列窗戶,營造出一個非常舒適的用餐環境。餐牌上的食物種類齊全,包

再來就是前菜,這是一道fusion菜式,廚師將北京烤鴨原來的薄餅換成口感酥脆的牛角酥,想不到效果又出奇的合拍,再者北京烤鴨外皮香脆可口,肉質肥美軟嫩,加上京蔥、青瓜絲及甜麵醬,有新意得來又別有一番風味。

Razor Clams Linguine with coprinus comatus Ailo E peperonion $180
以蟶子煮意大利麵並不常見,蟶子彈牙爽口,充滿嚼勁,跟al dente的扁意粉很相配,再加入雞脾菇及簡單調味,感覺清新好吃,而且不用老是吃魷魚、蜆肉意大利麵這麼沉悶。

Medium的美國prime grade肉眼扒,外層烤得焦香十足,入口肉味香濃,肉質軟嫩而且充滿juicy肉汁;另外伴碟配菜可選薯蓉、炒蘑菇或扒露筍,這晚選的是薯蓉,香滑得來中間又夾有點薯粒,口感味道皆不俗,實為甚為有水凖的菜式,必定要試。

總括來説,這晚的每道菜式賣相與味道俱佳,其中以採用了Asian fusion手法炮製烹調的菜式更令我們讚不絕口,尤以三杯雞槌及北京烤鴨牛角酥等菜式,不但特別而且有特色,創意味道的確非常吸引,想必大受客人歡迎。

餐廳經理會給客人介紹餐廳的招牌菜或特別菜式,又會在每道菜式上菜時作簡單介紹,店員們亦會不時留意客人的需要,主動收碟換碟,又會細心的替我們切開牛扒,最後經理又會向我們詢問意見,在大家有講有笑下,就過了一個歡快的晚上。

We started off the nights with some of their signature cocktails from left to right: Cube Old Fashion with whisky & rum, Strawberry Basil Fizz with gin and Victoria's Secret which is a mocktail! All of their cocktails sounded pretty interesting on the menu and tasted great (and most importantly - strong in alcohol too!).

Grilled French Quail ($110) - served with pickled radish and honey. I was pleasantly surprised with the tart and sweet flavors of the quail from the lemon honey marinade which made this usually dainty ingredient quite refreshing as a snack! [4/5]

Peking Duck Croissant ($120) - with leek and baby cucumber. Honestly I didn't think it would work at first but it actually does! The croissant was flaky and soft while the duck was crispy and juicy. An innovative combo that is a must-try! [4.5/5]

Manchego and Iberico Toasties ($156) - with black truffle pate. It reminds me of my favorite bikini sandwich at Catalunya (though the ones there are too cheesy now due to cost cutting). With layers of Manchego,cheese, Iberico ham and truffle pate between crispy toasts, these toasties were very fragrant and scrumptious to eat! [5/5]

US Beef Carpaccio ($153) - served with aged Parmesan, baby greens and extra olive oil. The beef carpaccio was fresha and flavorful while perfectly enhanced by the toppings especially the Parmesan! [4/5]

Mushroom Risotto ($190) - with Porcini mushroom, wild mushroom, cream sauce and mix salad roll. Compared to the impressive starters, the pastas were a bit unexciting. The risotto was cooked nicely but the flavors were a little bit dull for me. [3.5/5]

Penne Pasta with Alaska King Crab ($210) - with grilled Portobello mushroom and saffron sauce. The Alaska King crab definitely stole the show here and I love eating the big chunky pieces of crab while the penne was more of an afterthought. [3.8/5]

Salt-Baked Whole Sea Bass ($320) - with fresh dill, lemon, fennel and ginger. To be honest, I've never had a good experience with salt-baked fish (not even in Europe) as they tend to be very light in flavor which has a tendency to underwhelm. Unfortunately the fish here fell into the same problem as there wasn't a whole lot of flavor plus the top part of it was overcooked while the bottom layer was more moist. [3/5]

US Prime Grade Rib Eye Steak ($800 for 16 oz/$1200 for 24 oz) - our finale of the night and it did not disappoint! Cooked medium rare, the steak was very juicy and tender even after it got cold because we took a long time taking pictures of it. Also comes with mashed potatoes and jus. [4.3/5]

Verdict - the starters left more of an impression compared to the other dishes we tried that night. I would definitely go back for the drinks and fusion tapas!
