The best moment you should stay here is weekend, you can enjoy life music and Indian brunch buffet there. This area look like an artificial garden, everything is amazing, no matter the food, drink, decoration and atmosphere. You must try the mocktail there, which is so refreshing and large size.

Reserved a table for 6. Can only stay for 2 hrs. The place is quite large by HK standard. It has an extra long bar at the entrance w a long communal table parallel to it. Our table was all the way at the end which opened up to another dinning room.Portions were not too large so no harm ordering a variety of appetizers and main courses to share. Portions were not too large so no harm ordering a variety of appetizers and main courses to share. The satay chicken was good with quite authentic sauce and the fresh rice roll was okay.

Main course consisted of the randeng beef, grilled barramundi and baby pig. All were flavorful. We also order 4 vegetables dishes, fried rice (fragrant shrimp paste) and stir fried noodles (so so).

Service was average at best. Ambience is above average with SE Asian feel.

Dinner came to $500+ person. Not bad considering we paid $900 corkage for 3 bottles of wine that we brought.

This place is a hip restaurant in many different aspects, the whole environment is cool and they have a great cocktail list with an Indonesian twist. Nevertheless I think the food was a little underwhelming. The drinks were quite creative which was good.Their signature salad was quite interesting. however I can't say I was very surprised by it. Their spicy beef was good, but again it's not amazing. The crispy duck as main course was a bad idea. Wasn't good and also the duck tasted a little weird

Terrible service. Brunch menu has poor UX. Free flow brunch was tiny cups of juice with no alcohol. Super loud rooms. The food was beyond subpar. The waitstaff was not knowledgable about the dishes to answer questions or give recommendations on dishes. Not worth the price.

The food itself has a nice nostalgic feeling of the authentic Indo food but it isn't - the flavour is awesome, it's different and itdamn tasty. Spicy on most dishes not sure if you can ask to reduce it down but i like it hot. Definitely worth a try and also check out the drink cocktails at the bar,.. great service there.

今次終於係認真坐低食飯
因為無訂位
即使係星期四9:00pm 都全場滿座
我地被安排坐係causal dining 區Open Kitchen
的吧枱位

喜欢e度既Indonesia food, 好鬼死惹味,真係好好食,不过可惜好肥,仲有份量唔多,亦唔算便宜。不过早前推广既cross over hamburger真心值得讚。

The cocktails were great, and not the usual selection. We skipped the one with snake wine, and went with ones with non-reptilian ingredients. Started with some small plates, a tempeh dish and chicken skewers. The tempeh resembled beans pressed together and assembled into wedges. It was tasty though especially with the chilli sauce that came with it. The chicken skewers were fantastic, juicy pieces of chicken smothered in sweet and spicy flavours. For the main, we had the baked barramundi, along with some fried rice with prawns. The barramundi was a dish for sharing, and it was simply outstanding. A generous fillet of fish, more than enough for two people, perfectly cooked with a crispy, savoury coating, and served with a sweet chilli relish. The fried rice with prawns was a meal in itself, that did not scrimp on the prawns or the flavour. And on looking at the dessert menu, we had to try one and the pandan crepes with caramelised bananas were delicious.  
A word of warning, the portion sizes are generous. On complimenting the staff on the food, they inform us that the dishes are intended for sharing. There were only two of us and we probably ordered one dish, possibly even two, too many as we couldn’t finish all of the food. As such, the final bill was probably higher than you would expect if you ordered an appropriate amount of food.

終於食到我朝思暮想既BABI GULING,BABI GULING係BALI既名菜,炭燒烤BB豬,加上特製醬汁,只從幾年前遊BALI時經朋友帶路去一間深夜開到早上7點,一早去都可能賣曬既街邊攤,四味豬,唔知係因為太早起身無辦法忘懷,定係BALI既風光另它係我心目中特別深刻,但一直都想再嚐嚐呢種味道。
KAUM既BABI GULING有一定水準,用既豬非常嫩,皮烤的非常脆,但裡面仍然JUICY,可惜肥膏真心有d厚,女友人一致把皮連膏切下!暴殄天物啊啊啊,皮是最好食皮是最好吃皮是最好吃!
雖然我好想自己食曬,但因為真係幾肥既關係,食左一件就開始好飽。。。戰鬥力直線下降

最後烤魚其實本來應該會好好味,但人就係甘,食到甘上下,真係龍肉都無味,魚好嫩,醬好味,但印象唔深刻,BABI GULING實在食得太飽,之後所有野好食程度減半- -

呢個時候應該係好好給個驚喜準新娘的時候,點知侍應自把自為拿左D 高身酒杯出黎,甘係人都知有CHAMPAGNE飲啦,何來驚喜?。。侍應好似唔係好明驚喜既意思。。。。

總體黎講野食係食得過,但價錢偏貴,想試齊野要叫多d人。侍應比較蠢萌,但已經TRYING THEIR BEST(應該,除非特登玩我地啦。。。)應該唔會再黎,有野CELEBRATE都唔敢掉甘大舊錢被個侍應RUIN左個驚喜X)

因為慶祝一班友人中的剛剛訂婚和回港的兩對情侶,我地半年後再度光顧Kaum/Potato Head預先訂了位置所以不用等. 我地先係酒吧section 飲番幾杯, 酒吧manager服務相當好同埋professional, 佢介紹既old world Champetre Blanc 好好飲到晚餐部份, dining area 既 staff 幫我地一行9人安排食物, 但安排欠妥 - 唔係個個人都可以食到skewers 同分量嚴重不足攪到我地要自己再另外叫dishes但係餐廳裝修不錯, 非常有印尼特色, 菜色也十分惹味,一定會再次光顧! 由其係佢地個酒吧, 星期3 all night happy hour, 十分抵希望下次去Bali可以試埋佢地當地既Potato Head 再作比較

來過多次,服務還好, 食物味道好,醬汁偏濃。前菜份量一般偏少,portion 只夠2~3人試味。主菜main course如 lamb stick羊肉亦是偏少。湯就幾特別,份量亦okay.特飲很多選擇,外表討好,味道亦好。

The place was not completely packed, but quite busy, with a big company of people celebrating something, so it was a bit noisy. Generally, the environment is great, very hip and chill, reminding me of the restaurants in Israel. Very pleasant sunshine, bright colors and the AC which was not crazy strong (doesnt happen a lot in HK!)

We ordered Pia Waluh (a pumpkin pie with ginger) and Lapis Surabaya (layered cake with lemon curd). I also got a Megah Mule cocktail, which is a variation of Moscow Mule.

I can say that Lapis Surabaya was nothing special, but was served with a very delicious citrus gelato that I liked a lot. Pia Wahul was not too sweet, which I liked, but also not a taste explosion. What was a taste explosion is an ice-cream served with it. It tasted very much like coconut, had a hint of spices and was incredibly tasty, we finished it in a blink of an eye! Next time I will be definitely ordering this amazing ice-cream!

Megah mule had a generous amount of alcohol, I even had to ask staff to add a bit more ginger ale, which they did without questions asked. Generally quite tasty, even a bit too much spices for me.

Keeping in mind that our visit happened on Sunday afternoon, this place should be heavenly relaxed and chill on the workday. I'd love to come back and give other dishes a try.

We were a party of 11, booked in advance.  The birthday girl specified that we cannot have any cashews, Brazil nuts and pistachios in any of the dishes because there is a person in our party with severe allergies to those.  Before arriving, we confirmed once again that those nuts cannot be in the food, so the restaurant told us to order a set menu, which we did.  On the day of arriving, we spoke to the staff once again to confirm about the food restrictions and once again after we sat down. To our surprise, the first dish that came contains cashews without us knowing.  Our friend got an allergic reaction immediately and almost went to the hospital.

We expected with that many notifications and warnings that the restaurant would take allergies seriously, but obviously they did not pay attention at all.   The 3rd dish that came, ALSO contained cashews.  By now, the entire birthday dinner was ruined and we have all lost trust in this restaurant.

They have displayed unprofessional etiquette of a restaurant on several occasions. 

1) Disregarding a customer's severe allergies
2) Miscalculating the bill - which is excusable, so we disregarded it
3) The Maitre D' in the front shooed us away when we wanted to take a group photo at the restaurant, but allowed another group right behind to take as many photos as they wanted. This was absolutely outrageous and extremely rude.

There was one waitress, I wish I got her name, who was gave excellent service.  She was very polite and had a smile on her face the entire time.  This was the only good point about this restaurant.

The food was not special at all.  They all pretty much tasted the same but with different meats/vegetables.

約一班朋友食Brunch 某人一心以為食all day breakfast egg benedict果類。去到先知係食印尼菜好失望話冇蛋既brunch 唔可以叫做brunch入正題先:衣度brunch 可以 all u can eat 不過我地最後決定單點我地六個人Share左幾個前菜小食其中炒蛋 tuna 同 串燒覺得幾好食有再encore 每人再點一份main course 炒面 炒飯等份量好多 其實可以二個人share 食不過個炒飯炒面味道就一般 而且都幾辣下最後當然要甜品因為好飽所以叫左二個share一碗類似珍多冰既甜品 一般般另外一個朱古力果仁達配雪糕就幾好食雖說甜左整體可以一試

每人再點一份main course
炒面 炒飯等份量好多 其實可以二個人share 食
不過個炒飯炒面味道就一般 而且都幾辣下

最後當然要甜品
因為好飽所以叫左二個share
一碗類似珍多冰既甜品 一般般
另外一個朱古力果仁達配雪糕就幾好食雖說甜左

KAUM . Ever wonder why it is often confused with Potato Head? Once we stepped into the restaurant from its entrance on Third Street, we immediately felt a lot more relaxed by their interior design full of natural elements like wood and plants. We particularly liked the pattern on the wall which is kind of mystery yet oriental.

The restaurant is divided into two parts with one having brighter sunlight and the other having a dimmed light but with more privacy. 

Bar seats and sofa chairs are also available for different customers to chill out with some delicious drinks and titbits.

Small Plates

As you can tell, we went all in with their small plates. You may be curious about the portion size. Don't worry! They have got you covered because they are serving their dishes based on the number of head but you are more than welcome to request for more / less based on your desire. 

GOHU IKAN TUNA

A rather light dish with some diced marinated fresh tuna mixed with coconut oil, lime, chilli & green apple, served with rocket leaves, crunchy rice crackers. Once again, a funky ingredient is used like toasted kenari nuts.

Not surprising anymore, KAUM has nailed the polar contrast in the texture, cleverly using crunchy crisps and tender fish at the same time. Besides, it's also healthy and deliciously finger licking.

AYAM KAMPUNG BERANTAKAN

Indonesian make one of the best chickens in the world. Therefore, at KAUM, we get to enjoy some pan-fried free-range chicken topped with crispy garlic slivers, fried curry leaves, shredded oyster mushrooms, red chilli & toasted toasted coconut flakes!

The aroma rushes into the air as soon as this dish was brought to us. It's super crispy on the outside, and super moist and just barely cooked on the inside. The sweet and nutty flavour penetrates the meat. We couldn't help but finishing two pieces in no time!

BATAGOR

Every country has its own version of dumpling. With no exception, Indonesian has their "Batagor" filled with Javanese fried prawn & mackerel, sitting on a bed of roasted cashew nut sauce.

Compared to the traditional Cantonese style dumpling, this is a kind of dumpling that we are not so familiar with. The filling is firm in texture because it has more fish than prawn. The dumpling itself is rather light in taste while the sauce gives a spicy kick to it.

GULAI UDANG ACEH

For the last small dish, which is also the richest dish among all. The aceh style curry with assorted spices, curry leaves & tiger prawn tails. Giant pieces of crunchy fresh perfectly cooked prawns complimented beautifully with the spicy creamy curry that is packed with complex flavours.

Okras are also used which thickens up the curry. At this moment, we were actually craving for some rice to go with because it's quite rich on its own.

GADO GADO KAUM

Gado Gado is the signature dish of KAUM. An exotic mix garden vegetables tossed in a sweet creamy white cashew & peanut dressing. Apart from some healthy hard boiled free-range eggs, a rare ingredient tempeh is used to promote an extra creaminess and funky texture to the dish.

NASI GORENG UDANG

While we were still craving for some rice to go with our curry from the previous dish. We have acted quickly and ordered a plate of nasi goreng. A classic dish to its root goes to this fried rice with fresh prawns, specialty Bangka shrimp paste, basil leaves & red chilli paste

It's savoury and spicy at the same time. The unique taste of it is indeed unforgettable. (Not to mention that it is the perfect match with any curry if you don't mind it rich!)

BABI GULING

We have only tried two large plates as we were already too satisfied. However, you do not want to miss out on their roasted boneless quarter baby pig marinated with Balinese style spices.

The pork is one again cooked flawlessly with a succulent texture while the skin is a bit chewy instead of crispy like some other cuisines. The highlight goes to the Balinese style sauce which is hard to describe because it is something we have never had before. The sauce has a mix of complicated profile between savoury, smokey, just slightly fishy, and a hint of sour taste.

There is one kind of dessert from the brunch menu so we have decided to share amount two people. A plateful of nicely presented sweet combination of layered butter cake with pineapple preserve, lemon curd, burnt pineapple & mango ice cream.
