I have always wanted to try this place because of the boudin noir!!Finally made it for lunch and ordered the boudin noir burger on top.For lunch, the choice was pretty good with a choice of escargots as a starter.The decor was lovely, it felt like being in a countryside barn.★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★Tea:There was tea included and it was IMPRESSIVE! This was French black pudding which is meatier with some fat bits.
It was a bit like pulled meat in cooked blood sauce with a fragrant metallic taste.

Here is what I am going to say. To be honest, I won't get it if not my friend asked me here. By chance, we got drinks as the restuarant we booked table is yet ready. It is beside the "herb tea" stall. First impression, I feel that place is not my place because of people inside. After being here, I felt my mind totally weird! 

Just a hour later, it should be dinner. We ordered a plate of snack for sharing - beef tartar with potato chips and toast. The beef tastes good!! For chips, it is kinda salty you better have it with tartar. And it is matched with my bubble drink - sparkling wine in chenin blanc from Loire.

The interior design attracts me with woody decoration!! Furniture are woody swings, big buckets,etc. I feel so natural and relaxing with orange bright light. Not like staying Hong Kong during this moment. All are laughing, drinking and chatting.

在他們家的wine cellar跟親切的老闆們聊了一個下午,之後便到他們家新開的bistro去填肚。兩家店其實非常靠近,稍微走不了多久就到了。這家bistro就在hollywood road,在出名的‘公利’旁邊,算是滿好認的。雖然店舖不大,不過裝修很講究,能讓人覺得放鬆。而且法國帥哥服務生也很熱情,而且還會跟著店裡播的歌曲一起唱。這裡寫著他們賣的酒的一些介紹。他們家是專門從法國進口一些有機的葡萄酒,對酒的品質有一定的堅持。所以裝潢也當然以酒為主。因為時間還早,不是晚餐的時間,所以我們便讓帥哥服務生給我們切一些芝士配法包食,分別有乳牛,綿羊和山羊奶做的芝士。食芝士應該從味道比較淡的乳牛牛奶芝士開始食,間中可以搭配一些提子和核桃還有白酒,然後最後才食山羊奶芝士。食芝士當讓要搭配白酒好好享受啦。所以他也介紹我們3種不同的白酒,最後我們選了chardonnay,一邊享受美酒美食,一邊和友人好好聊天,享受了一個悠閒的法式時光,c'est la vie!

因為時間還早,不是晚餐的時間,所以我們便讓帥哥服務生給我們切一些芝士配法包食,分別有乳牛,綿羊和山羊奶做的芝士。食芝士應該從味道比較淡的乳牛牛奶芝士開始食,間中可以搭配一些提子和核桃還有白酒,然後最後才食山羊奶芝士。

題外話/補充資料: 法包是可以refill的,而且帥哥服務生也會不厭其煩的幫你,有什麼問題也可以問他。他人好friendly風趣,而且讓我們跟他一起跟著音樂唱呢。

酷暑午後,流完一身汗再走上Soho繼續流汗。Cabane Salad: 以店名做名稱,想必很有自信。是很不錯,新鮮,sauce and dressing都不錯。(不過以前的更好)Eggplant Sandwich:茄子茄子,讓我想起「泰冏」愛拍照的剪刀手。看不到茄子在哪裡?因為被新鮮番茄泡製的番茄醬蓋著,下面鋪著鹹味迷人的大片火腿,麵包邊烤硬硬脆脆,麵包厚實軟嫩新鮮。啜啜舌頭再舔舔手指,再用舌頭繞嘴唇一圈,應該用手帕摀著比較美觀。佐以一杯法國紅酒,不知道甚麼牌子,不過就算知道,對於我這個紅酒白痴也無甚幫助,只知道好喝就是。買單120,燈光好、氣氛佳,價錢相宜、身心舒暢。不知道晚上長甚麼樣子?

Tartiflette -
A visit to here is not complete without ordering the mouth watering Tartiflette piled with slices of Reblochon cheese! It's getting warmer yes but cheese to me is eaten all year around! Especially Summer cheeses when the grass flavours intensify


Can't rave enough about this place, as even the bread is good here...

Inside -
This is a Wine Bar x Bistro. It’s very casual. It’s the equivalent of an Italian Osteria x Enoteca, or a Japanese Izakaya for me. Organic French Natural Wines – Around $60 per glass are decently priced and we had a Rose and a Pinot Noir-Gamay. I have my own feeling towards natural wines but in general they do taste a lot juicier & fresher than the typical wines.

Steak Tartar with Egg Yolk – $110
Done exceptionally well in seasoning and being all chunkily beefy, I actually thought this was better than the ones I had in Paris this year using Charolais beef even. I recommend you to eat this by itself first, without scooping it onto the bread, as the flavour is much more pronounced this way. ~ 8/10

Boudin Noir with Root Vegetables – $100
This actually wasn’t my 1st visit to this shop as I came for Beaujolais Nouveau day as well and saw others ordering this, I knew it was precisely what I was looking for. This was meaty, has blood curds and infused with fat bits. It was really good though not so strong in the blood taste and once again, eat this sans the baguette maximizes the experience. Use the bread separately as a palate cleanser. Yum! ~ 9/10

Tartiflette - $100
I saw someone eat this before and swore I will come back to raid the shop for this, as it smells fantastic from the gratinated Reblochon cheese. Covered underneath are potatoes, lardon bacons and onion. This is just the perfect Winter dish and make u think u were at the French-Swiss-German mountain alps. They also serve Mont d’Or cheese here. ~ 9/10

Pain Perdu, aka French Toast – $65
The above appetizers were simple yet faultless, it’s not something you take for granted in HK. This Pain Perdu had a pretty good texture with a crispy baguette crust – it actually tasted decent but needed to be soaked in more eggs and vanilla component in my opinion. ~ 6.9/10

A lovely place with REAL French Bar Food. Will be back again very soon..

在荷李活道的La Cabane Wine Bistro開業不久,原本是由店在同街La Cabane Wine Cellar的店主開設的。店的面積不太大,裝潢以木為主,還放了大個的木酒桶作桌子,配合昏暗的黃燈,氣氛柔和。這裡供應超過100款用有機葡萄來造的Natural Wine,也有多款法式小食,像芝士、凍肉等等。每碟份量不多,分跟朋友來分享,多試數碟最好。來到小酒館,也來先點兩杯酒喝,2011 Chevemy & 2011 Le Moulin Rose,$60及$55,兩款味道也好,紅的酒味不太刺激,很容易接受。Beef Tartar,$110,把鮮黃色的蛋黃刺穿,混著生牛肉,肉碎不會切得太碎散或攪得太蓉爛,吃下口感挺好,又帶點濕潤黏稠。他他調味恰好,既有肉鮮,味道又不過鹹,帶有輕微黑椒香,令人滿意。Boudin Noir & Root Veggies,$100,這款黑血腸以豬肉碎、內臟、豬血及豬油混著,再煎香,肉味濃郁,沒有過刺激的血腥味,吃下還有點微甜,真是不錯。配上小法包,油脂輕滲包內,相對單獨的吃沒那麼油膩,但只吃血腸的話味道就突出點。Tartiflette,$100,是法國

最後也點了一款甜品,Pain Perdu,$65,即是French Toast,法式西多直以Baguette來造,口感外層微脆,中心吸了蛋汁,軟腍綿綿,口感討人喜愛。但蛋味並不突出,否則會更好吃。
