It's always best if you could enjoy your food with a few more people, but this time, I just went there with a good friend.As usual, we weren\\\'t big eaters, so only managed to order 2 dishes and a couple of drinks.We took the waitress\\\' recommendation and tried the \\\"Duck Brest Salad with Mango in Mexican Sauce\\\", a Beef Latina Fajita and a couple of cocktails each. As usual, we weren\\\'t big eaters, so only managed to order 2 dishes and a couple of drinks.
We took the waitress\\\' recommendation and tried the \\\"Duck Brest Salad with Mango in Mexican Sauce\\\", a Beef Latina Fajita and a couple of cocktails each. The salad\\\'s a has a different kinda combination in favour - I thought the mango blended in quite well with the duck and the sauce. The Fajita was tasty, but a little bit spicy. It came with just 2 pieces of tortillas, so we had to order another portion, .. and expected, turned out quite filling.
It was a shame that we left no room for desserts afterwards, so we had to settle for that!
There was the usual MHI group entertainment -- 2 chaps flying from table to table, singing live with their guitars (I think El Cid at Stanley was ALOT better! haha .. well, what more could you ask for .. they came with the package! ^o^ ) As like any of their outlets in TST, singers had the habit of staying behind .. and waiting for your TIPS at the end of their contribution!!! (Singers of El Cid @ Stanley weren\\\'t like that at all -- and they sang beautifully, esp. the female singer there!!!!)
Overall, service was good, atmosphere and environment were not bad at all, could be a hangout place for couples. The food wasn\\\'t as expensive as it could\\\'ve been, but I think I liked Caramba@ Soho more. Still, it\\\'s worth trying!
My two regrets: I\\\'d forgotten to try their Quesadillas, and also to take pics of the drinks! ;)
P.S.: There\\\'s still smoking area there -- maybe it\\\'s categorised as a \\\"bar\\\" rather than \\\"restaurant\\\", so their had the exclusion til the start of 2009!?
