放假玩完山,找到高街,整條街的氣氛轉了,變得很外國式悠閒,很適合情侶到來。找呀找,不經不覺到了街的盡頭,看到呢間重門深鎖,有意思,就拉門入左去。裝修是走modern feeling。食物是西及日式都有。生蠔、刺身、燒物、等等都有各適其適。內裡人不多,位置幾闊,待應都有禮。我點了海膽三色刺身飯。先說海膽。中上質素,不要期望是馬糞,但都新鮮好味。那些吞拿魚肉,有肥膏,不錯。帶子就算可以,起碼還新鮮。三文魚子是一般野。但因為只是200元,我覺得對住在附近的人來說,不用走到中環已可食一餐正常日本餐,算ok。

先說海膽。中上質素,不要期望是馬糞,但都新鮮好味。那些吞拿魚肉,有肥膏,不錯。帶子就算可以,起碼還新鮮。三文魚子是一般野。
但因為只是200元,我覺得對住在附近的人來說,不用走到中環已可食一餐正常日本餐,算ok。

認識這間食店是徒歌賦街開始,老闆好多時好有心思,不時不吃,久不久便會創新菜式(並不在餐牌出現的,要問), 自始,我們班朋友去到已不看餐牌,祇會問有什麼介紹,當然要對口胃啦。老闆除了對吃了解精通外,品酒亦是ㄧ絶,我們有好酒,必然去那處開,因老闆會给意見breath幾耐,夠未……當晚弄了ㄧ尾焼鯛魚,非常好吃油香又滑,打頭陣的刺身拼盤,每次去已必點,絶對上佳水準,烧雞…………最後吃完他自家制的dessert, 飽飽的滿足的回家。

It is definitely a challenge if you're someone like me who can't make up their mind!


Anyways, we had a couple of Le Perle oysters, smoked eel salad and ikura and toro on toast as starters.


Great start to the meal - fresh food, decent portion.


Mains:

We pre-ordered the Hainan chicken and a small portion of Suckling Pig. Oh my... the chicken is good - very fresh, pretty sure they used fresh chicken instead of those tasteless frozen ones. It also came with a bowl of cauliflower made with saffron sauce. A great complementary to the chicken dish. Rice is fragrant and cooked to perfection.



Suckling pig - Crispy skin with soft, tender meat. Loved it.



Linguine with porcini - loaded with tons of porcini. Tasted garlicy which I loved!


Dessert:

We had the coconut mousse cake with coconut ice cream because it was the least rich desserts among all the choices (note we were really full after mains but still wanted to have desserts!) - very nice plating and not too sweet for me. Perfect


Favourite of the night: Dual-winner: Suckling pig and hainan chicken! So remember to pre-order to avoid disappointment!!

Dinner: (1) beef tartare - good flavour but would have preferred the tartare finely diced instead of 'mushy'; (2) steak (think its flank) - nice medium rare...super tender and juicy w good seasoning; (3) boiled choi sum - this is honestly soooo good for some reason...it's simple veg in broth but so fresh and flavourful; (4) duck confit w casserole rice - the best dish of the night...good amounts of duck confit mixed throughout the rice to give it the right flavour...rice is cooked perfectly so i

朋友係要見面的,但係每次要諗食乜都係最頭痛的。 幸好西營盤站、香港大學站開咗之後都多咗好多機會試更多新餐廳!今次終於有機會試到呢間西營盤高街嘅餐㕔Sup1. 黑色的一扇門讓人有神秘的感覺!室內的空間不是很大,如果一大班朋友過來最好預先訂位。室外讓人有一個舒適的感覺法式洋蔥湯, 不會太鹹。但不是太有特色軟殼蟹卷牛肉他他配多士大蝦caesar沙律這份牛腹腔係店員推介的,肉货非常嫩滑扒黑毛豬扒配鵝肝菌, 黑豚肉非常好味法式鴨腿煲仔飯.半分也要hkd288!價錢有點貴!除以上食品外,還有日式,但一些比較有特色的食品也要 2至3之前預期!

nice place with super friendly staff. was a bit confused about the menu since they serve different types of cuisines like japanese, italian and fusion. the confit duck in casserole rice was great! the suckling pig and the pasta in sea urchin and saffron sauce were okay. the barked chestnut tart with ginger gelato was the best!! do save some room for dessert.

I was dining with some friends in The Pun and we decided to give this place a go, because none of us had ever been here before. Apparently the restaurant has been around for a while, but in another location not far away.It was a little difficult to figure out how to approach the menu. We ordered a few different types of sushi, but I think they were out of one and I forgot to take a picture of the other one we got. This was the striped jack, which I don't believe I'd had before. The fish was fine, but I have a personal and I admit unusual distaste for wasabi, which appeared not only on the side (which is fine) but also rubbed between the fish and the rice. The whole thing just tasted like wasabi to me.
Shishito Skewers

The skewers menu is not extensive and we only found two that caught our fancy. I love shishito peppers, they're very similar to padron peppers, and are great when charred and judiciously salted. Sometimes they come with one of those Japanese things I'm not really big on-- I think Katsuobushi?-- but these were just salted, grilled peppers and they were great.
Beef Tongue

The beef tongue was reasonably tender, and had lots of flavor, naturally, from its marinade, from the fresh lemon you squeeze on it, and from the seasoning powder that comes with it. Everyone who ate this was a fan.

The fatty tuna roll was another wasabi-heavy roll, so whereas I'm normally down for fatty tuna, I was less excited about this. Again, that's just me and my bizarre preferences.
California Roll and Spicy Salmon Roll

Pictured are two kinds of roll:

In the foreground is the spicy salmon roll. This was very mayonnaise-heavy and mildly spicy.

In the background is the California roll with salmon on top. The salmon's a great addition and makes this roll quite robust.

This last roll was the softshell crab roll w/ avocado. Putting the avocado on top allows for generous portions both of the fried crab and the avocado. I was a big fan of this one.

We ordered the sauteed seasonal vegetables (or something like that) and were informed that all they had was cabbage. That was fine. When the cabbage came, it was extremely tasty: very garlicky and a little bit oily, still a bit crunchy-- even one of my friends who was quite skeptical of a dish of just cabbage was won over by it.

At the end of the day, I was impressed by Sup 1. I probably would never have gone here, except that the group I was with wanted to go. As one of my friends said, the exterior seems a little intimidating. Additionally, the name is silly, and I'm not really a fan of Japanese-style Italian food-- I'll just go to an Italian restaurant if I want Italian pasta.

But I liked most of the food we got. The stuff I didn't like was more my fault anyway, given my aversion to wasabi. Being an inveterate American, the things I most liked were the inside-out rolls, especially the California roll and the softshell crab roll. I was also big on the veggies: the shishito peppers and the cabbage. I probably won't come back here, as I don't dine in Sai Ying Pun that frequently, but I wouldn't mind it if I did wind up back here.

近期需要找個場地進行一次聚會,友人介紹這店,為了聚會順利進行和大家食得開心,所以這晚先和太座私底下到來探路,作事前試菜。原想影張門面的相,但因為晚上這店的招牌太光,渡致光源反差太大,結果未能成功,入到店內,對正門口有一個頗大的壽司吧,甚具和風格調,右邊一列長檯,可按人客多寡而靈活組合,全場可容納約三十人,親機到店內走走,發現店後還有一露天光井,店方稍作了一點裝飾,擺放兩邊檯椅,別具風格,另一邊廂還有一類似貴賓房而頗具私隱的擺檯,頗合今次搞聚會的要求。這晚主要是試一下店家的佐酒小食和西式食品,因為日式魚生只講求新鮮,沒什麼廚房功夫,而且這店除了做日式和食外,的另一買點是法國菜,所以特地試其廚師手藝,這店還有較小有的魚子醬供應。生蠔,這晚試了五款,其中以Pinky及Gillardeau最美味,蠔味濃郁,其餘的亦十分新鮮,清淡分明,各具特色,入口清爽而順滑,鮮甜美味。凍蟹腳,凍食的北海道熟蟹腳,味道鮮甜細膩,蟹味清香,肉質清爽有彈性,與之前的生蠔均為白酒的上佳佐酒美食。辣肉腸田螺拼黑毛豬火腿白菌,我們點這食品時,店家主動向我們先行解釋,這是分開兩款但一齊上的食品,辣肉腸田螺是一款,而黑毛豬火

辣肉腸田螺拼黑毛豬火腿白菌,我們點這食品時,店家主動向我們先行解釋,這是分開兩款但一齊上的食品,辣肉腸田螺是一款,而黑毛豬火腿白菌又是另一款,只是兩碗食品一齊上,其實如果可一次過試齊兩款食品,這也不錯,辣肉腸田螺,味略帶辛辣,相信是辣肉腸的辣味做成,但就十分和諧,辣肉腸偏淋,咬口不足,田螺就淋軟中帶半點爽口,非常美味,而另一個黑毛豬火腿白菌,味道十分可口,火腿味道咸鮮,配親白菌的清爽,口感豐富,味道鮮美。

雜菌大蜆蛋麵,原本餐牌上是大蝦雜菌蛋麵,但經向店方查詢後,得悉可以改用大蜆代替,所以就改成了雜菌大蜆蛋麵,大蜆非常新鮮,隻隻開口,蜆肉鮮甜,口感彈牙,雜菌清香爽口,其實我主要是想試他們的蛋麵,麵算是煮得不錯,口感煙韌彈牙,蛋味淡香,配合醬汁入口濃淡適中。

炸田雞腿,原先想像中是只是一款送酒小食,田雞腿只會手指大小吧,但上檯卻發現它是如此大隻,長度有手掌般長,基本上有如一隻小型雞翼般大小,入口表面炸粉味道香濃,口感香脆,內部肉質鮮嫩彈牙,汁液豐富,田雞味道甜美。

西多士拼雪糕,太座覺得特別,所以點了一客,實際上是兩件法飽烘香加上一球雲呢拿雪再灑上朱古力醬,是店家花過點心思但不覺太特別。雪糕不夠香有過甜,朱古力醬不算濃,但可接受,法包烘得香脆,但蘸上雪糕後即回復淋軟,變得有點像浸水麵包了

星期六中午行過高街,見到呢間裝修頗有特色嘅食肆剛開舖,又有set lunch,一於試吓。 餐湯香濃足料,唔係一味忌廉湯。唔揀湯可選沙律,菜亦新鮮爽口。魚配沙律感覺清新,魚無腥味。羊扒煎得剛好,略嫌欠羶味,雖非人人喜歡,總覺得點都要有羶味先似羊肉。整體感覺係即使set lunch 都係認真之作。 雖然呢度位於食肆林立嘅高街,但係唔近扶手電梯,人流最多就係附近學校返放學時間,不過斷估學生唔係目標顧客,要吸引人幫襯一定要有自家特色。午市套餐質素雖好卻欠自家風格,好難吸引人去完再去。晚市就未知如何了。

在餐湯(甘筍忌廉湯)與沙律的選擇,我揀了沙律。沙律的材料是薯仔粒,肉腸粒(驟眼以爲是薯仔,吃的時候才發現是外皮同樣是米色的豬肉腸
)及沙律菜,混和了由橄欖油及醋製成的醬汁,味道清香帶些許酸酸的,吃了很開胃,薯仔粒煮得剛熟,還帶點爽口的感覺。

主菜的意粉及牛脷份量都頗多,意粉軟硬度剛好,煙煙韌韌的,混了香草及橄欖油油後味道更覺清新,牛脷煮得很腍,沒有內臟的慣常羶味,配合濃稠的醬汁來吃,不錯。配菜還有青豆角及甘筍,都是煮得剛熟的,爽口之餘,仍感到淡淡的香草味。
