Union Bar & Grille (已結業)

We ordered quite a few things, chicken wings, stuffed mushrooms, 16oz Canadian steak with shoestring fries and molten chocolate cake.Chicken wings were actually chicken drumsticks! They tasted OK, nothing special. The steak was not bad. We quite liked the fries, they were very crispy. Hubby loved the molten chocolate cake. I thought it was good but Dan Ryan made a better one.It was very comfortable to have dinner there though. They played chilled out Jazz music. It was relaxing!

This place is a great place for brunchThe salmon egg benedict is nicely doneThe seafood black and white linguine is actually tastier than it soundsThe sashimi tuna salad is OK, but there is room for improvement for this dish.In general the atmosphere is pleasant, I gathered that it is quite a popular restaurant since there are quite a lot of customers there, yet not noisy at all.

港島美食遊的最後一站，按計劃是去新開的Peccato(賣點是北意大利菜!)吃甜品。為了它，我們甚至經過精緻無比的Mandarin cake shop及Le Salon，都不為所動!!　可惜去到Peccato，正值3-6pm off hours...當時真的好失望，不過我很快找到更美味的替代品：Union。　點了一杯Hot Fudge Sundae，來的時候大家都樂透了，因為賣相精美得很!而且這份sundae份量不小，足有三大球雲尼拿雪糕，以及大量忌廉、朱古力醬及脆餅碎，很甜，亦很美味，清碟無難度!　吃完甜品，也是時間回程，參加詩歌練習了。多謝龍帶給我如此歡樂的一天，更要感謝神在當中一直保守、帶領。Cheers!

我跟我的一位外國朋友於Union Bar.Gilled 食Brunch.到該店都是第1次, 諗住同Dan Ryan同一機構都唔差得去邊, 點知一入到去冷清清..無咩人客..d 服務生就企係到談笑風生(即是一ｄ都唔忙)　我同朋友只叫了Potato Skin & Salad for share, 沒有叫飲料, 點知我就見到一位穿便服的女士問該服務生我地叫了飲料沒有服務生說:34飲免費, 我登時覺得好似身在大排檔一様, 跟住Potato Skin　食完都仲未到Salad..再等了２０分鐘追完先到果碟Salad又再食完之後, 服務生就走到來清理, 我就好心遞上我的碟, 此發覺碟底滑雪雪, 原來我一直用的碟子底部有一片Mushroom.嘩!!　太過份。於是我連忙跟那服務生說上, 他的答案十分騎哩：Oh!咁呀! 然後轉身走去了連我的朋友雖然唔明我地講咩．．但都估到．．呢間野唔可以再去, 係IFC 入面竟然有間咁既大排檔式服務.p/s; 其實而家出面好多就算咩１０蚊碗粉的服務都好過佢地多多..

Me and my friend were going to have dinner at the Union, didn't have a table avaliable so we had a bottle of red at the bar. About 20 mins later we were escorted to a table.The menu was the typical western style, but the quality was ok, and being located at IFC is pretty convinent (for me at least)The atmosphere was pretty good also.

和朋友黎呢度食lunch. 呢到其實同Dan Ryan's 差唔多，不過可能係比較新關係，所以裝修得唔錯。令人感覺好yuppies.不過係國金食飯，都係比較好點，因為係金融中心掛!我地點了chicken wings, clam in tomato pesto with linguine (half portion) and ceaser salad with grilled chicken.要講下個麵包籃，有三個半條的穀物french roll, 好香脆，真係幾好。chicken wings, 點知黎到係反了的little drumsticks，因此，d 醬汁好入味。酸酸甜甜，唔錯唔錯。clam in tomato pesto with linguine，係呢d美式portion 的餐廳，有得點half portion 係一種德政，起碼令我地可以點多一兩樣食品。呢個sauce 幾有番茄味，好refreshing!ceaser salad 唔駛講，一冠咁新鮮crunchy!very nice!

Windy City 出品（Dan Ryan's、Amaroni's、The MET），殊途同歸。半份走牛油的Grilled Garden Vegetables Sandwich，用的是flatbread（無酵餅）：麵餅比較硬、烘得比較乾…乾得來像多士，無性格；三文治餡是antipasto 加生菜- 一咬，有Artichoke、red / green bell pepper、green / yellow eggplant…仲有油- 好油的橄欖油，好油的香醋油（Balsamic vinaigrette）。各樣質素平平，勝在口感balance…同幸吆走油。Half-portion 跟Daily Soup Cup；是日的餐湯是海鮮紅湯，有青口、蟹肉等，用料尚算新鮮；最「raw」的，還是跟餐湯、無生蠔味的Nabisco Oyster Crackers 一小包…加埋個presentation，好一個「貴價高釁版」美式餐車dining experience。最深印象的，還是鄰座用個大法包上的Boston Clam Chowder，還有我想像中的Banana Toffee Chocolate Tri

本來想和朋友去Soup Caf憿A 7pm到達，怎料已關門，唯有轉去Union。環境一般美式格局，不算局促，在趕睇戲的情況下，匆忙點了三款食物等朋友和男友大駕光臨。小食要了雞翼($48元4隻)，上枱時變了雞搥，無相干，因為我們都喜歡啖啖肉。男友一啖咬落去，臉色一變，說味道酸到離哂普，而雞肉就一點味道也沒有，KFC好食多多聲！朋友向Manager反映味太酸，她說酸醬不是自家製，廚房並不會再自行調味。聽罷，我們都有點驚訝，不接受客人意見之餘，還向客人承認廚房的敷衍煮意！Black Ham and Cheese Flat bread($60)，份量少，個底脆到似炸物，一點也不似flatbread，個人不欣賞，男友和朋友話OK。Clam Linguine in Tomato Sauce ($108)的茄醬味道不什討好，的蜆好細，只略帶鮮味。應該無下次！

我係lunch果時去食, 一入到去已經覺得環境唔錯, 好有氣氛, 差不多都滿晒座, 初時waiter俾左張兩人台我地, 後來冇耐隔離台走左, 上菜果時張台唔夠位擺, 好逼, 有個senior既waitress過黎, 主動同埋兩個waitor一齊拍埋隔離張台俾我地, 幫我地移d碟果時, 等我地可以食得舒服d同方便d, 仲好nice咁提醒我地放左o係地下既bags要記得走果時拎埋.我地order左onion soup, 水牛雞wings, 木瓜雞沙律, 同埋焗薯皮. onion soup好飲, 個沙律出符意料既好食, 我唔係好食木瓜都覺得幾buy呢個配搭, 唔落個沙律汁都已經好好食. 焗薯皮更加係一流, 平時會怕食太乾既焗薯皮, 但係佢焗得岩岩好, 仲有留返小小既薯仔肉, 下次點都要食多次! 唯一麻麻既就係水牛雞wings, 個份量太少了, 得4隻, 老實講唔係好夠喉.點都好, 一定會再去

夜晚同朋友睇完戲!之後就過黎Union食飯!二人Car位都好舒服!一坐低就有人埋黎介紹野比我地,感覺服務幾好!食物唔差,有水準!兩個人Share個16oz肉眼4成熟(好好食)Risotto都好好食!個侍應好nice!仲問我地d野岩唔岩食!唔知係咪太好傾..個侍應請我地食甜品..呵呵!!(係Cream Brulee)佢叫阿Joe...Thx A Lot !

元旦日行到好攰便入來吃晚餐,呢間餐廳的枱唔算迫了,沒有行常的局束感覺.1.Grilled New York Striploin 12oz $240 ~~ 叫了六成熟,都依足order,沒有over done.肉汁仍在,好香炭燒味.伴菜仍不錯.2.Tripoline with Steak & Roasted Garlic Tomato $128 ~~ 這個意粉相當好,尤其喜歡個source,濃香鮮味.

食完晚飯和同事去飲嘢, 近近地行到呢間就入去.坐在高身凳區不太舒服, waiter見我吔一坐底就摧我吔落order, 感覺不太好.叫左杯sangria, 酒味唔重, 但比起友人既American Beauty Cocktail 已算有酒味.多謝同事L請客~~

今日一行三人，叫o左﹕Signature Chicken Wings - 我因為感冒唔食雞；但係另外兩位就話好好味。特別個汁酸酸地好好味worSashimi Graded Ahi Tuna Salad - 不過不失New Zealand Clam & Roasted Tomato Linguine - 意粉唔錯，個汁都唔太酸；最弊蜆肉唔多有少少沙Shoestring French Fries - 不過不失免費餐前包- 核桃o既最好味~呢餐要多謝Jon Jon！！^.^

interestingly enough, even though union and dan ryan's are from the same group, similar menu, the food is not as good.we ordered burger and one of my dan ryan's favourites - papaya chicken salad.burger - union serves shoe string fries instead of fat chipssalad - same receipt except the chicken is shredded and the papayas are being chopped into small pieces. dan ryan serve the salad in big chunks of papaya and chicken which make the salad taste so much better.AND, they don't have the muffin that

(4/10/06)dept lunch,未食過,試新野真好。waitress足夠笑容,又有好介紹。沙發位的咕筍,好舒服。餐前麵包,香草味的太勁味;南瓜籽的最好味;有個唔知係咪"監"欖碎,麻麻o地。點菜:矮瓜巴拿馬火腿pizza,得六片,pizza=餅干o羅,每塊脆餅上一片矮瓜,少許火腿,味道幾好,當是餐前小食。Signature chicken wings,橙得像咕嚕肉,是辣的牙籤雞件,加上炸得過火,唔好食!Caesar沙律,雖然味道唔錯,但材料寡得一片雞肉都無,齋到賣相都唔吸引,唔抵食。New Zealand Clam & Roasted Tomato Lingnine(蜆肉遍麵),蜆肉算幾靚,麵又好,&多蕃茄。Homemade Ravioli w/Fresh Tomato sauce(意大利雲吞),外籍人仕揀既,半乾既芝士做餡,大家唔"好"呢碟。BBQ baby back ribs,乾左D,其他美式餐廳做得較好。Wild mushroom & black truffle risotto勁正~好似蘑菇湯味,松露味好出,飯唔會太多芝士,引致吹乾,或太膩。甜品:Banana toffee
