Apologies for not updating for so long, I was distracted by these awesomely fun and addicting iphone apps (which I only got an itouch) and spared me no time to write lol. Anyway, back to my reviews which dated back in Jan 16th Froyo Madness does not seems to be stopping anytime soon, here in the hectic central I found a new froyo store named Yoppi. Giving the number of froyo stores nowaday, I actually wonder when will the froyo market get saturated, I guess we don't need as much froyo stores as
Froyo Flavours
There was a wide range of froyo flavours to choice from, from original tarty flavour to chocolate and fruit flavours such as Mango and Lychee etc. Two size choices were available, the large cup wass approximately the same as tuttimelon's one, which is incredibly huge. Normal size would serve me fine. Along the tray of cups, there was also tasting cups for you to try the different taste!
The original flavoured froyo had a very tarty texture. It was extremely sour with medium sweetness. I also tried Pomegranate flavour. It was also very sour but was more tasteful and sweeter than the signature tarty original. It wasn't particularly creamy either. Toppings
On the other hand, the dry and fruits ingredients were stacked like jelly beans counter and constituted a colourful scene under the spot light in Yoppi. Along the fruits bar, there was also sauces like chocolate and caramel available if you would like any. There was also long swirl biscuit sticks too!
For toppings, I had strawberries and blueberries. The strawberries were frozen ones, which was both cold and hard. Sadly the strawberry tasted rather sour which made originally sour froyo extra sour. The blueberry on the other hand tasted horrible and had a sloppy texture which apparently was not fresh enough. Anyhow, both of the fruits that I had chosen wasn't that good. I wonder what toppings are nice in their shop.
All in all, Yoppi's froyo was too sour in taste but was tarty enough, where as the fruit toppings that I had was horrible, I personally reckon the fruits toppings are far more importantly than the dry toppings. If a store screws up in the fruits toppings, no matter how nice the froyo is, I seldom revisit the store. While Yoppi's froyo was not particularly nice, and the fruits was bad this time. I would re-visit once more to check whether the fruit quality was a on off issue or not.
