早前說過,因為同一飲食集團之下,所以約克郡同倫敦,是從未如此接近過.士丹頓街上的Soho 8 同Yorkshire Pudding,好像連體嬰一樣.我笑說本來兩地要坐幾小時火車,現在不用了.上次來Yorkshire Pudding已是差不多一年前的事,當時還未有酒牌,事隔多月,已有酒品供應.是夜與女友來,一同喝兩杯.入門口已聽到店內播著Muse的歌曲,牆上仍然貼著咸美頓的畫像,電視台繼續BBC.喝的啤酒,又不是一味英國啤,女友是夜喝的,是來自比利時的修道院啤酒Leffe,我先來一杯Spitfire.Spitfire是麥啤,入口清爽,不算太苦.帶點酸.面頭的啤酒泡並不是很綿密.女友最後喝不光手上的Leffe,結果我飲埋她的一份.還未喝夠,來多一品脫健力士.在三十歲之前不喜歡喝健力士,或許在小時候看過林子祥的健力士廣告,"佬"味甚重.但人到中年,就越來越喜愛,真是如當年廣告歌一樣,成為真的漢子.約克郡的健力士,啤酒冰凍順喉之外,啤酒泡拉得如忌廉般細滑.有些酒館拉出來的健力士,拉到鬼五馬六.在Soho 8說到要一起去倫敦,在約克郡就想到Sheffield,Leeds等地.不是要去做光豬六壯士

It was a Sunday, what else to do but have a roast.The beef was great, so's the yorkshire pudding.I love their horseradish, adds a nice kick to the whole meal.One slight complain was the gravy being a little too runny.

英國人好土豆，做足了心理準備前來一戰，結果還是被鋪天蓋地的土豆們撐到了…揀了Shepherd's Pie的lunch set，再單叫一個主菜和甜品，以為如是份量恰當，未料到還是多了…餐包以澆了濃濃肉汁的pudding代替，外皮微酥，內里火熱綿軟，承載著香噴噴的肉汁，怎有不好吃的理？沙律是清爽一派，少量橄欖油配黑醋，健康醒胃，雖然有人抱怨沒有沙律醬吧…Shepherd’s pie外層鋪上焗得酥香的薯泥，我們都頗愛那層薄而微脆的外皮；內里則是剁得很細膩的肉醬，似乎是羊肉、甘荀組合而成，有淺淺的膻香。另一主菜是侍應特別推介的sausages，我們揀了cheddar cheese與onion兩味，onion感覺不是太突出，cheese則相對濃郁一些，兩款腸一咬下去都會爆汁，熱辣辣的肉香縈繞在口中，這時要再配點綿綿的薯蓉才更過癮，當然也更飽了…青豆點肉汁亦是不錯的吃法，煮得鬆軟的青豆可以中和部分肉汁帶的肥膩感。跟餐的甜品有點孤寒，細細件的banana choc cake，可惜香蕉味淡得快要吃不出來，朱古力也有氣無力的，總體感覺就像是一塊黏黏的、沒啥味道的小蛋糕，失色了。單點的sticky tof

We were given a table upstairs for dinner, and there are some interesting pictures of London on the walls to take me to London along with some very English food... 男友再三表示對YORKSHIRE PUDDING沒興趣，話在英國時永遠將佢視為特餐既方包一樣，唔食。但係當香港從未有餐廳以英國野來打響招牌既時候，YORKSHIRE PUDDING——英式裝修——絕對有啅頭。有個下午來食過。主要係唔同既肉類伴YORKSHIRE PUDDING.D肉已經煮到好淋，味道不過不失，其實冇咩好彈冇咩好讚。但係由配角變主角既YORKSHIRE PUDDING就香口非常，好唔錯。絕對值得一試。不過有野樣要提醒大家。事閞之前試過兩次WEEKDAY打去BOOK檯都話FULL。但第二次我就係唔信會咁爆，雖然當日下午佢話FULL左，我夜晚照去，話冇BOOK檯. 佢俾到檯我。當晚21:15離開，樓上仍然只坐左一半。所以當佢話FULL時，不妨試下WALK-IN.

我o係Halloween去試吓Yorkshire Pudding o既,我地更係預先book咗枱啦大節當前,行到SOHO區,感覺好relax!!!而Yorkshire Pudding o既門口又別具Oxford般的英倫風味,十分討人歡心~~waitress們招呼周到有禮,而且十分貼心!!!!!我們試咗o既菜式:*Rack lamb with mint sauce:Rack lamb 有彈性和幼滑,香味十足而冇蘇味,mint sauce亦較得very good,side dish如薯菜都好美味*Chicken&potato pieie皮好有層次夠鬆脆,而Chicken&potato好creamy同有奶味,side dish如粗薯條就唔夠鬆脆,但係用料一流同無損美味*Yorkshire Pudding:Yorkshire Pudding with butter sauce好惹味,將sauce倒入Pudding到,香脆可口*Sticky toffee Pudding:微溫o既Pudding配vanilla ice-cream好有層次感,Sticky toffee sweet而不膩,又有DD

I felt like having a good shepherd's pie yesterday... so I began a journey looking for it.When I stumbled upon this place and saw their menu, I decided to give it a shot.I have had different kinds of shepherd's pie from many places, from cheap Costco pies to 5-star hotel pies...And to sum it up, this $168 shepherd's pie tastes like a $30 pie. There is a $98 + service charge lunch buffet. The choice of food offered is basically (i) salad, (ii) cooked vegies, (iii) lasagne, (iv) fish (without the chips), (v) cooked potatoes, (vi) roasted beef, (vii) dessert - fruits plus bread and butter pudding.Not too bad. The vegies were very nice, and so were the potatoes. The fish was relatively okay, but given it's a buffet, it was inevitable that the food might be a bit too cold. The service was however very good.

在英國時常常食yorkshire pudding配牛扒，回香港後經常想食，曾經在香港的marks & spencer買過雪凍的yorkshire pudding回家焗, 但味道還是差少少。終於找到這間yorkshire pudding，硬叫我個friend陪我去食，我個friend也是在英國讀過書，但話從來無食過yorkshire pudding。去到見到menu，原來不便宜，我個friend有被我騙來的感覺，我只能安慰說“你幻想你是在英國食，英國的價錢差不多啦。”叫左２碟：　１．yorkshire pudding配牛扒，很好味，跟在英國食的一模一樣．但分量不是很多。２．雞yorkshire pudding,個汁好漏，味道一般，下次不會再叫。服務不是很好，要水都要左２次，座位很逼，價錢其實幾貴，星期一至四lunch去食會平D。

想試下不同的菜色就揀左頭中環頭10名的yorkshire puddingyorkshire pudding 係好英國的食品但從未食過立即要去試試先無可能食英國野唔飲啤酒試了leffeomg 超好飲 勁creamy 既beer 合上眼睛感受一下 口感竟然有飲貢茶奶蓋綠茶之感 係好smooth 得黎有少少麥味既啤酒 推介!得2個人好彩佢有mini dishes 可以比為食既我地試多樣野叫左一個 beef n yorkshire pudding因為係mini dishes 所以連個pudding 都變了細great 聽聞比較細既pudding 較好吃實實地又軟軟地有點似包又有點似好厚既牛角包其實都幾好食mini size fish & chips用酒杯裝都幾得意fish 都係嫩 chips 係averge 仲可以食多個raisin n berries crumble因為本身幾好crumble 加埋係berries 超中意~情調好好可以坐sofa 不過冷氣好似大D就好 可能係因為門口太大 坐係門口附近既我地好快已經焗暈

it's the second time i went there within two weeks! kinda Crazy but i love the food here especially the dessert. i tried the roasted beef and fish on the set menu before (both on thursday) and both taste great. the little pudding before the meal was very crispy too, wanna have more. i also love the big red sofa on the second floor and the environment makes me feel relaxed. i think it's not particularly expensive given the food quality and service. the food however is a bit heavy so cant go too o

想不到這裡留下的飲食紀錄,寫寫吓會有去到二百篇的這一天.每次去旅行不知為何提不起興趣去英國,可能是怕了那邊的陰沉天氣....(因為會先對某地的食物產生興趣才會想去當地旅行)看見這店門口的照片,腦海總出現一個畫面,有兩三個梳雞冠頭,一身作Punk打扮的青年或踎或企在門口食煙....(中晒Trainspotting毒)!企喺門口Punk唔起,唯有幾個傻佬坐喺樓上Dining Area食餐飯都好!一行五人試勻雞、牛、羊、魚、豬(Sausage)!3人點了White Sangria,2人點了Lemon Squash飲住等,十五分鐘後陸續上檯Roast Beef----起初有點擔心燒牛肉會否過熟!因為無得比你揀幾成熟,到上枱時聞到的香味已很吸引!燒牛肉肉味濃而且一點也不靱!配菜的新薯加上Gravy連一向少食薯的我也被吸引!Yorkshire Pudding's Special-Cawl----大葱蘿葡燉羊肉,羊肉很淋羶味不重,配菜的薯茸有點點奶及牛油味,Pudding的邊位焗得略焦比較香口,中間位置浸滿羊肉汁,味道都不錯.Yorkshire Pudding's Special-Chedder C

久仰大名的Yorkshire Pudding，之前因種種原因而不能前往，預約推了又再推，這次終於有機會了!!本以為午餐應該是set lunch，但原來weekend是沒有的，只好叫a la carte，價錢當然貴多了。我們三人共叫了三個菜:Fish and Chips 幾乎每檯也叫的fish and chips，魚肉十分鮮嫩，雖然是炸魚但也不覺油膩，果然是很好吃呀! 薯條未見特別，不過份量頗多。如果要來這裡的話一定要叫這個。Yorkshire pudding with lamb 來Yorkshire Pudding，當然要吃Yorkshire pudding吧。這個不是普通的Yorkshire pudding，而是用餡料填滿。羊肉的味道其實像中式的炆羊腩，肉質不算是很好但整體味道取回分數。當中還有一樣很有趣的東西，它的質感與薯仔無異，但在口中咀嚼後竟嘗到芒果的香味!Yorkshire pudding with beef 味道也很像中式的炆牛腩，不過比剛才的羊更好，蘿蔔也煮得很稔。最後，當然是吃Yorkshire pudding! 雖然它承載著餡料，正常應該會吸了不少汁，不過原來沒

今天與我三年的同窗書友，而且仲係HCL入面既二姐(?!)食Lunch，佢係上環返工，咁我地就過左中環個面食lunch啦。佢尋晚問我食咩好，我就suggest呢間啦，話係佢去英國前試下英國菜先呀~~~大概12:25黎到，無book位，但入到去發現大把位，佢安排左窗邊既位俾我，我好鍾意呀，因為可以望到出面既環境，而且不時有涼風吹過，非常舒服，海妹未有咁早到，佢就俾左個menu同埋杯水我，俾我慢慢睇，完全無催我呀。終於等到海妹啦，佢一黎到就話覺得呢度環境好靚呀，哈哈，佢鍾意咁就實在太好啦。有3個main course揀，最後我地一個要左 Welsh lamb stew，一個要左fisherman's pie。首先黎湯同沙律，我飲過個湯，應該係南瓜湯，但我覺得個味道偏淡左少少，飲落去無咩味，但係好滑的。沙律我幾鍾意佢個sauce呀，酸酸地鹹鹹地，幾開胃。跟住佢就每人一個派左個Yorkshire Pudding代替麵包，再加少少燒汁，個味道同我expect既真係幾唔同，因為其實真係無咩味，因為燒汁變左有少少鹹味，但因為佢幾鬆軟，而且有少少麵包香，所以幾特別，我覺得好難去形容佢好唔好食呀 =P個羊
