I had dinner with four friends and we sat at the bar just in front of the main cooking station. I always sit at the bar because you get amazing service and I love watching people cook - something about it just makes the whole experience that much more enjoyable. We ended up trying eight of the tapas dishes and my overall impression of the food was great! I loved the authenticity of the flavors and everything was served by the head chef himself with detailed explanations of each dish. Again, sitt
We ended up trying eight of the tapas dishes and my overall impression of the food was great! I loved the authenticity of the flavors and everything was served by the head chef himself with detailed explanations of each dish. Again, sitting by the bar is the best! It's like having your own private chef.
We started with a white fish carpaccio which was thinly sliced, light but rich in flavor. A great way to tease the palate for what was coming next.
The second dish was the mushroom and spinach croquets. Much heavier but creamy and piping hot - just the way they should be or else, they become hard, cold, cream balls.
We then ordered some iberico ham to chomp on while we waited for the next dish which was the Galician octopus layered over a slice of potato. The octopus was perfectly cooked and really tender.
I can't remember what the next dish was called but it was creamed fish paste. Something you should layer over a biscuite or bread. Not my favorite but mostly because I wasn't into the texture.
We then had the garlic chilli prawns which was delish! Just great flavor and well cooked overall. Loved them and would definitely have them again.
We had the chorizo which was amazing. You can never really go wrong with chorizo and then finally we ended with the patatas bravas, which to be completely frank, were my favorite out of everything. The potatoes are thinly sliced and then served with a homemade ketchup which is more like a tomato salsa. Heavenly. I would have eaten then all by myself if my friends weren't slapping my hands away.
The dessert was something very light and fluffy. Can't remember the name but it was a nice light way to end a really lovely meal with a great environment and experience!
