Side dish 的薯條更是多得令人發瘋,結果大陪份都給同事了!my choice: Signature white bun + Italian (sausage) + Honey Mustard + Sauteed mushrooms (toppings)最讓人興奮的是,在BRAT 吃個肚滿腸肥,踏出店外就可以在玉葉甜品來個海帶綠沙清清熱氣,或是拐個彎就在公利來份蔗糕蔗水降降火氣,it's just PERFECT!

I have always wanted to dine here but this restaurant was hard to find. When they had the popup store at Landmark, I went but they did not serve the full menu, so I went to this branch. The full menu is listed simply on an A4 sheet of paper.Since I wanted to try so many sausages I ordered the sausage sampler.I dined at BRAT because I am not fond of pork/beef sausages although I do eat them especially the proper British ones, but at BRAT they have vegetarian and chicken based sausages.Interestingly there are two vegetarian ones and they are the most expensive at $108 each a la carte. On the menu, they have 15 different sausages which is quite a choice, and just over half were chicken/turkey based sausages so I had a hard decision choosing which four for the sausage sample. The choices were: Artichoke, Bourbon, Brat, Chipotle, Chorizo, Frank, Gruyere, Habaneros, Italian, Lemon, Pesto, Portobello, Sun dried tomatos mozzarella, Vegetarian Italian and Vegetarian Choptle. The four that I selected happened to be mostly chicken and turkey based. As well as the sausage sampler I ordered the Fries with truffle mayo.★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★The sausage sampler came with two pickles and two sauces, the four sausages I ordered were Lemon, Portobello, Artichoke and Vegetarian.Lemon (Chicken & Turkey based sausage)This sausage had Lemon, tarragon, fennel seed and red pepper in it.I was hoping the lemon would taste strong but it was not and I could only taste lemon rind.Portobello (Chicken & Turkey based sausage)This sausage had Portobello mushrooms, dried mushrooms, porchini and sage in it.This was really nice, not only could you smell the mushrooms you could also taste and see bits of it in it as well. The colour of this sausage looked like if it was made from pork if you compare it to the lemon.Artichoke (Chicken & Turkey based sausage)This sausage had Artichoke hearts, garlic, sun dried tomatoes in it.The artichoke taste could have been stronger but all I could taste was the dried tomatoes. The colour of this sausage looked like if it was made from pork if you compare it to the lemon.VegetarianThis sausage had Aubergine, red wine, garlic, fennel, gluten in it.I found this one the saltiest but it was the nicest, however it was slightly dry but I loved the caraway seeds in the sausage. For the pickles I was given Relish and Saukeraut and for the sauces Whole grain and Dijon mustard.Other sauces and condiments I would have liked to try as well: truffle dijon, mature cheddar and sauteed mushrooms.★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★Fries with truffle mayo:They served French fries and the fries were perfectly done.Although the fries were nice on its own, the mayonnaise was really nice too, it was thick and creamy with strong truffle taste.★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★

I purchased a ValuUp voucher for BRAT a while back and thought a Saturday night before football kicked off, was the perfect night to use it.When I walked in, I wondered whether a reservation was really necessary as it was completely empty, but within 5 minutes of being seated, every table except one, was taken. The selection of hotdogs is pretty good, with a bit of something for everyone. The ones that caught my attention included the Bourbon (pork and beef with kentucky bourbon, garlic and spices), Chorizo (chicken and turkey with Chorizo and garlic), and the very cheesy Gruyere, but we ultimately settled on:* Chipotle - Pork with chipotle chili, cheddar and paprika* Sun Dried Tomatoes Mozzarella (chicken and turkey with sun dried tomatoes, mozzarella and basil)You can choose from their signature bun or dark rye, along with a whole host of condiments (caramelized onions, jalapeno, cheddar, mushrooms etc) and mustards (classic, dijon, honey, truffle). The signature bun was warm and soft - perfect companion to the hotdog. And the condiments were tasty without being overpowering for the hotdog. The fries were pretty good - proper thin cut and tastier than what you'd get from McD's! Which is a good thing given that you're paying more here than any regular fast food joint. But the star of the show is ultimately the sausage itself. Both the ones we tried were delicious - very juicy (as evidenced by the amount of mess I made!), packed full of flavour. The chipotle had the perfect amount of heat and you could taste every single ingredient in the sun dried tomato one. They didn't look that big when put in front of me, but I was well and truly full at the end of it. They are very more-ish. I only wish I had enough room in my belly to try another one. Service was very friendly and efficient and the overall vibe and decor made it a very comfortable, cosy experience. This is not a replacement for the old hotdog place on Cochrane Street - I think it stands on it's own as a casual restaurant that serves good quality sausages.

OK, the good news:A good assortment of bratwurst, condiments and mustards. Very tasty.Very clean. Very "new" look. Nice complimentary food and the only deep fried Mars bar with ice cream on the block. And the bratwurst are excellent, as tasty as any and include some healthier choices. I had the Habanero which was excellent. Bad news? Well, the appetizer platters were a little skimpy for 168 each. But the hot wings on them were good---the rest (chicken fingers, some bread and scrawny calamari) were fair. The brats themselves are a little expensive. All these can be forgiven. But the waiting time for the food was ridiculous. We got our appetizer trays AFTER all the food had been served. They served all the fires well before any other food was brought out ---now we were a group of 11, but we were the only customers in the restaurant. They really have to iron out the kinks if this joint is going to make it.
