Taiwanese style sponge cakes has been popular in HK since last year. Having tried other brands sponge cake, this is the third time tasting this one in Wanchai. There are 4 choices and so far I tried two.1. 黑糖Black sugar - quite sweet and it’s not as spongy as other brands 2. 流心芝士Cheese - very soft and spongy it’s exactly the TW style I expected. Don’t be off put by the queue outside. There are 3 staff in the shop and the work flow is very quick. Unless the flavour you want is not available, you will then have to wait until the cake comes out from the oven. You get a cake box only if you buy full portion (2 square pieces). For half portion the cake will be wrapped by paper and put in a plastic bag.
