As a party of 4 gathering for dinner, we were excited to try this new restaurant spot. However, our meal proved to be a mixed bag (20-30 minute waiting time).Dish review:1. As a party of 4 gathering for dinner, we were excited to try this new restaurant spot. However, our meal proved to be a mixed bag (20-30 minute waiting time).
Dish review:
1. The baked shrimp with cheese sauce and noodles:
It was a disappointment from the first bite.
The overall dish was incredibly salty, making it unpalatable. The noodles were also over-seasoned. This dish needs a lighter hand with the salt.
2. The fish belly and bean curd with sweet bean sauce:
It was also a letdown. It arrived at the table at room temperature - leaning to cold. The fish have a very strong, unpleasant fishy aroma and flavor. The sweet bean sauce did little to mask this.
3. Spicy shredded chicken with vegetables:
It’s not living up to its "spicy" billing. The flavor was too sweet.
4. Fried fishballs:
It should be a simple dish that requires simple seasoning but again overly salty.
Overall, given the disappointing experience, I do not plan to revisit the restaurant nor can I recommend it to others.
