Was taking a stroll at the Mills with hubby and baby J and wanted to have something light for lunch. We chose Book B because I simply liked their decor that the resto is just next to a book store. They didn’t offer much choice for food but the food is unexpectedly yum. As usual, I ordered my favourite rye toast which was served with cream cheese and homemade jam. The toast was freshly baked and crunchy on the outside. As usual, I ordered my favourite rye toast which was served with cream cheese and homemade jam. The toast was freshly baked and crunchy on the outside. It did not give much of a sour and strong earthy taste though. The homemade jam was fruity but not overpoweringly sweet while the cream was thick and creamy.
Hubby had their Veggie udon with pumpkin mash soya soup. Not a udon person myself but this bowl tasted really nice. I particularly liked the natural sweet taste of the pumpkin and the fragrant and rich soya soup. The udon was cooked on point and not too mushy.
The passion fruit and mango smoothie was fresh and super filling👻 The apple and ginger scone tasted a bit too sweet for me but I loved the aromatic spices.
Service was great as all our requests were carefully accommodated by the friendly server.
As there was only one server when we were there we did wait for a bit for everything. If you are looking for a place to chill out at Mills, Book B Kitchen Mealmeal is the right spot for you.
