Sagrantino is located in the heart of Central, at the same street as one of the famous Michelin restaurant Yung Kee. The services were absolutely outstandingly awful, I have never been to a restaurant where the waitresses don’t know what is on the menu or how the dishes are cooked. If waitress A doesn’t know the answer, she would shout across to waitress B for answer. Eventually, they have to ask the chef. More importantly, whenever they have a bit of free time (which was 99% of the time), they chat with each other, take pictures of themselves, I have never seen anything more professional than this!

Prosciutto with baby asparagus in egg yolk sauce (0/10)
The chef is extremely talented with his innovation of destroying food. What was the egg yolk sauce for, absolutely ridiculous. Why can’t he stay simple by pan-fired the prosciutto (wrapping the asparagus) and let the flavour infuse into the asparagus.

Bruchetta with dice cut tomato (1/10)
Usually bruchetta are rubbed with fresh garlic and not toasted, give you a point for the roasted garlic bread. But cherry tomato would be much preferable; the richness of the skin would enhance the flavour. More importantly, where were the vinegar and basil that usually goes with it, it was dreadful to see the chef completely destroying the food from ground zero.

Linguine with creamy sea urchin sauce (0/10)
Never heard of anyone to make pasta with sea urchin, thought it was special, hence I ordered it. The sauce was extremely watery, don’t know where the creamy part fits. Linguine was order and spaghetti was served, more importantly, the spaghetti was under cook, pasta sashimi?! The food made me sick, terrible!

We have deliberately to have left over on the food, and they have not even asked why we didn’t finish, you must be joking. I wonder how long can they last before shutting down.
