This noodle shop looks traditional and the queue were immense , you could not get a table on a normal day as it’s packed , so it was very intriguing to try , we managed to pass by one day and there was a table available so we jumped at the chance to try it ‘ first impressions’ looks old school decor ‘ but when we entered the smell made us all feel we wanted to vomit , smelt like raw animal intestines and raw meat at a outside butchers shop in 33oC heat . This noodle shop looks traditional and the queue were immense , you could not get a table on a normal day as it’s packed , so it was very intriguing to try , we managed to pass by one day and there was a table available so we jumped at the chance to try it ‘ first impressions’ looks old school decor ‘ but when we entered the smell made us all feel we wanted to vomit , smelt like raw animal intestines and raw meat at a outside butchers shop in 33oC heat . Putting things aside we ordered 3 white thin rice noodles with assorted dumplings .
First impression smelt like raw intestines , soup base tasted like the aroma of the restaurant, it was as awful , the home made dumpling tasted really good , definitely the best homemade dumpling we have tasted so far in Hong Kong , but the soup base was the worst we’ve tasted , tasted like swimming in a bath of raw pigs intestines that alone will keep us from ever returning again regardless how good the dumplings were ! One of the first things we’ve notice since being in Hong Kong , is it’s not for westerners and mostly the young group , it’s kind of old school , but then again mostly hyped up social media food are all garbage as it’s paid reviews .
65+ age group food not for the younger age .
