Acme is opened by restaurants group behind the frequently featured sister brand Baked 🍔🍳, which has a rather casual setting, here you’d fine a more structured set-up playing with many earthy tones, wooden elements 🪑🤎 and its wall mount shelf full of Middle Eastern spices and herbs 🌿🌶. Flatbreads 🫓 are kinda guaranteed in any Middle Eastern setting, the flatbreads were warm when served and complemented the hummus perfectly, the broccolini 🥦 were boiled then grilled to give it a nice crunch.
Culurgiones are dumplings 🥟 stuffed with sausages and potatoes 🥔, the dumpling wrapper is slightly thicker than the Chinese dumplings we have, and the stuffing is quite squished and filling 😋😋.
Lamb chop 🥩 was super succulent, I must reiterate, super succulent, they have this spicy tomato sauce 🥫 This was my fav dish of the evening, the lamp chop was very flavourful and gamey, and was paired with some acidic sides.
Baklava, again some of the most ordered Middle Eastern dessert. Small servings, good to have a sample of what it tastes like. Buttery, flakey, caramelised, with a good crunch from the pistachio.
