Summary: Good value but there is a better option (read on). OK but can be better for taste.The Goods: Cheapest (I think) all-you-can-eat shabu on HK island. One plate meat is available for lunch over weekend (most other ones doesn't have this on weekends). Individual pot for each person - good especially during COVID!The Bads: I think beef needs a bit more fat as it feels a bit "dry" for texture. Soup base could be stronger. Also think they could have more sauce variety.Damage: We both ordered

The Bads: I think beef needs a bit more fat as it feels a bit "dry" for texture. Soup base could be stronger. Also think they could have more sauce variety.
Damage: We both ordered cheapest option for unlimited meat for 90 minutes. That is HKD108 + 10% SC or HKD118.8 per person. You can do even cheaper by order only one plate of meat (starting from HKD69+SC for pork), or more expensive for better quality beef.
For all-you-can-eat shabu shabu, normally they will have "a-la-cart" option for weekday lunch, with one plate of meat (usually 100 grams) and unlimited self service section (vegetable, meat balls, noodle, rice etc), but no such deal on weekends. This one is one of the only few exception, and I think it's the only one on HK island (so far). So, this is cheap option if you want to eat lots of vegetable for as low as HKD69 + 10% SC.
What we ordered;
We opted for cheapest option for unlimited meat; which comes with beef, pork, and chicken. Each person can pick one soup base, and we ordered sukiyaki and tomato fish soup. Let's start with the soup first.
Sukiyaki is quite standard I think, and I don't have a lot of things to say here except that it also comes with an egg. Personally I think this is the best deal because you pay the same price but get an additional egg.
Tomato fish soup is a bit underwhelming. I think it's a bit too watered down. Tomato could be thicker and perhaps saltier (to my taste). The fish that comes with it is quite fishy which is probably as it should be but because tomato is too watered down I think the fish smell is a bit too strong.
The beef slice has only thing layer of fat which, for its quality makes it feels "dry" when eating. Cheaper quality of beef slice is usually compensated by a bit more fat to give more taste and "juiciness" to it. It's still not bad overall and for the price.
The pork slice is also quite "dry" as well. Same comment as above, it should have more fat to compensate for cheaper cut. Chicken thigh is quite surprising actually. Usually for this kind of restaurant the chicken are considered cheaper meat and so it's not good quality and smells "gamy / meaty". This one doesn't which is a great thing. It also cooks to be not too dry which is also great. Usually gamy & dry when cooked is associated to frozen chicken to me and fresh (non-frozen) for juicy & no foul-smell. In this case, I highly doubt they can do non-frozen chicken (to control price), but maybe it is.

All meat are unlimited at this price, and it comes with self serviced section. There are a variety of vegetable to pick from (from memory, bak choi, cabbage, Chinese lettuce, Chinese cabbage, Eryngii mushroom, Enoki mushroom), meat balls and different types of noodle (udon, Chinese egg noodle, and others). Not a lot of comment on this one except that meat balls are not very tasty and they don't have meat balls, fish balls which other restaurant of this type usually provide.
The choice of sauces is a bit limited in my view. They have yuzu vinegar (or something similar), sesame sauce, and soy sauce, with chopped spring onion and garlic to add. It's quite standard really but there is no fresh chillies (there is dried chilli flakes though). Yuzu vinegar is not as sour as I normally expect of too.
They have variety of carbonated drinks, and other soft drinks, tea, and (instant) coffee. Quite standard and so not a lot of comment here.
Finally they have desserts; popcorn, and soft cream. Popcorn is with caramel and is nice but nothing exceptional. Frozen yoghurt is acceptable (for the price). It could be richer and more sour if you ask me.
Final thought is..... it's good value. I usually come here because it's close to where I live, and I can pick a-la-cart option over weekend lunch. It's not the best one for me though; personally I like Gyu Gyu Shabu Shabu in North Point better at HKD118 + 10% SC. That's only HKD11 more expensive but quality of beef, meat balls, and soup base are better.
