After trying out million times the Central branch, first attempt on their Wanchai branch that have more seatings. More outdoor seats that were pet friendly.I was quite excited introducing a Peruvian dining experience to my friends who have never been. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Even they wrongly served a glass of white wine to my friend, staff immediately apologised politely and served back what she requested a glass of red wine. We ordered the Green tamale, Cheese empanadas, Chulls sala

We ordered the Green tamale, Cheese empanadas, Chulls salad, Peruvian grill with side dishes of Sweet potato and Garlic rice and Churros as dessert. I got Chicha morada as drinks.
Chulls salad was alright, not something wow you. It was a salad on a saucey side. Crispy toppings with leafy greens, radish slices and boiled quail eggs. It was a nice dish to cleanse your palate and add some greens in your meal.
Green tamale was made of steamed masa (ground corn moistened with water) wrapped with with banana leaves/ corn husks. It had a silky mashed texture similar to green bean paste. The stuffed cheese gave a gooey texture which made the whole dish became indulgent. It was an unique dish with both earthy and cheesy flavour. A nice one!
Cheese empanadas was another deliciousness! Crunchy and flakey crust stuffed with oozing out cheese. It was incredibly good. With additional herby sauce and raw onions drizzled on top which balanced out the heaviness. It was absolutely a dish I would order once again.
When the Peruvian grill came, it definitely had a wow factor! Mountains of meat was served on a smoky tray. I thought there would be some kind of flavoured smoke, but nope. Anyway, there was a sausage, steak, pork and two pieces of roasted chicken. Sausage was grilled nicely. Not too salty but on a fattening side. It was very savoury. Steak was cooked medium rare but one side was pretty chewy. Rest was tender and moist. Seasoned well. Pork was very fattening. The fat literally melted in your mouth. Meat was alright. Their famous roasted chicken was the best among all. Crispy herbed skin with moist meat. Meanwhile, the baked sweet potatoes was very sweet and soft with sprinkled chives. Garlic rice was cooked perfectly with crispy deep fried garlic and chives on top. It was a very meaty goodness.
For dessert, their churros was very homemade that could tell from their shape. It was coated with cinnamon sugar and sprinkled with desiccated coconut. A chocolate sauce was served on side. Churros was crunchy and authentic with a hint of cinnamon and coconuty flavour. Personally prefer a stronger cinnamon taste. Each bite with the dip of the chocolate sauce made it tastier and satiating. All in all, a very nice one.
Chicha morada was a purple corn based drink. It tasted fruity with a hint of cinnamon. It wasn't as sweet as like drinking fruity syrup but similar to a cold version of mulled wine. A very nice one to pair with all dishes.
It was a pleasant dining experience that I could foresee myself keep visiting. Seating was more spacious than the Central branch but my seat accidentally kept hitting the person behind which I wish the seats may have a better organise. Keep it up Chullschick!
