Worst customer service I’ve ever received at a restaurant. I come into the place on a Monday night. The whole place is empty except for a large dinner party which was quite noisy in the main dining area. I pick a table for 3 near the front door so I can have a quiet dining experience with my friend. “You cannot sit here.”“Oh is it reserved?”“No, but u just cannot sit there.” Fair enough. We are 2 and the table is for 3. I move to the area where there were 3 sets of tables for 2. I pick the one i
“You cannot sit here.”
“Oh is it reserved?”
“No, but u just cannot sit there.”
Fair enough. We are 2 and the table is for 3. I move to the area where there were 3 sets of tables for 2. I pick the one in the middle to seat myself down on. Waiter comes up again.
“I need you to move to one of the tables to the left or right.”
“Oh, I prefer to sit here. Can I just sit here?”
“No.”
Me gritting my teeth trying to be reasonable: “Oh, is it because if a party of 4 comes in that you need to combine these two tables together?”
“No. I am just telling you to move. Sit at one of these two tables instead.” (deadpan rude expressionless face)
“But restaurant is empty and you have no bookings for these tables I’m sitting at!”
“Move, Miss.”
I didnt come into a restaurant to be ordered around like a rat in a maze. The whole restaurant was empty and these waiters were giving me the classic rude and arrogant French treatment. Zero apologetic or polite tone in how they manage customers.
So in conclusion: this restaurant is very classic French! Come here for the rude service and see how you fare with the food after. I didn’t stick around for dinner.
