We came here on our first night during our staycation. The restaurant offers different kinds of traditional Chinese tea and dishes. The seating was spacious and the welcoming dishes were yummy but the serving speed was too fast and the portion of the dessert was too small. Really fresh and tender abalone and you could still see the steam coming out as the rose wine is boiling under.
🥂Sautéed Lobster with Herb, Black Pepper and Cognac $788
It only had a really strong black pepper flavour and I couldn’t taste any cognac or herb from it. The lobster is bouncy but taste was not jaw-dropping.
🥂Braised Wagyu Beef Cheek $368
It supposed to be very flavourful but turned out to be just quite tender.
🥂Sautéed Scallop, Asparagus and Wild Mushroom with XO Sauce $368
Very normal dish. It doesn’t taste bad, just not memorable.
🥂Poached Spinach with Conpoy, Ginkgo in Rice Broth $158
I liked the rice broth very much but disliked the tannic taste from the spinach.
🥂Fried Rice Vermicelli with Conpoy, Crab Meat and Egg $268
The taste was quite bland and we asked for some sauce to add on to it.
🥂Ginger Panna Cotta with Brown Sugar and Peach Resin $68
🥂Sweetened Almond Cream with Lotus Seed $68
🥂Sweetened Red Bean Soup with Mandarin Peel $68
These desserts were all in a tea cup size only. Taste was not bad but could be found in any local dessert shops.

Though there are many positive comments about this place but I just found it to be ok. The food at least needs to match its ambience, service and price point. The hotel is really nice and beautiful but honestly needs to have a better restaurant to make us return.
