Watercress soup The soup came in a jug and fresh oyster on the side. We were told to put the oyster into the bowl and pour the piping hot soup on top. Amazingly I could taste the freshness of the oyster within the creamy smooth watercress soup with the aroma of potatoes. Wonderful surprise.
Taste: 7/10
Salmon Love the balance of ricotta cheese with lightly seasoned Salmon and the sweetness of beetroot. Nothing surprising though.
Taste: 6.5/10
Pork belly and cheek Pork belly was so crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside! Very enjoyable together with the creamy lovely mashed potato and gravy. Downside was the cheek, the seasoning was too heavy, leaning a little to the bitter side. The cheek's texture was like normal meat, which made it rather odd.
Taste: 6.5/10
Apple pie and earl grey chocolate Hot and crispy tart, sweet and tender apple and cold vanilla ice cream are the basic requirements of the perfect apple pie. It was elevated by crispy caramelized thin apple waffle and small slices of green apple. Tart could be better compared to those i had in Durham, but it is well executed.
Taste: 7/10
Overall my friend and I enjoyed the dinning environment with tables set in a comfortable distance and very attentive and friendly service.
