Was looking for a quiet restaurant to catch up with a friend in lok fu. Dondonya is close to the station, quiet, spacious and predictable. All wins compared to the noisy flourescent mall restaurants in HK. Food was your average Japanese fare complete with miso, rice and a little tomato and lettuce salad. We were tempted to order two sashimi bowls but for the sake of diversity I ordered the beef hot plate and ended up having sashimi bowl envy. If you're not watching your waistline then go for the
Food was your average Japanese fare complete with miso, rice and a little tomato and lettuce salad. We were tempted to order two sashimi bowls but for the sake of diversity I ordered the beef hot plate and ended up having sashimi bowl envy. If you're not watching your waistline then go for the fried stuff with curry like the diners on our right (looked yum).
Service was good! Kept our water topped up all night and let us stay from 8 to well passed 9:30 chatting.
