I ordered the Le-Ta-Su 300g set, which I believe includes a few slices of beef tongue. The slices of beef tongue were very chewy and tasted nothing like the creamy and tender ones that you might have gotten at other Japanese shabu-shabu restaurants. The beef slices were also extremely lean, and pretty tasteless. It felt like I was chewing strands of flavourless fibre. The worst part of the dining experience was surprisingly not the food, but the servers’ attitude. They were rude and very impolite, and I assumed they were just understaffed because of the slow response time. The guy who served me at the checkout was borderline offensive when he was informing my party that the coupon we tried to cash in for a free drink of our choice with our sets was not valid. I believe his choice of words could’ve been a lot better if he actually cared about his job or the store’s reputation. Such a shame because the shop has only been opened for about a month.
To be fair, food’s okay in general for the price, but there are definitely much better shabu shabu places out there.
