My boyfriend and I decided to come here for a quick bite before going to the madness of Halloween in Lan Kwai Fong. I ordered spinach noodles with hand slapped shrimp balls and ice corn drink. He ordered the carrot noodles with shrimp wonton. I tried some of his noodles and couldn't taste any carrot flavor but I could see small flecks of carrot in the noodle whereas my spinach noodle had a stronger spinach taste. The texture was quite smooth and not soggy which is how I like my noodles. The shrimp balls were perfectly bouncy and lots of shrimp taste. The waitress will really friendly and offered me a sauce made of lime, lemongrass and chilli for the shrimp balls. But I thought it was too spicy but my boyfriend said it really brought out the shrimp flavor. The soup was supposed to be made from crab shells. I felt it was very sweet but not a very strong crab flavor. I didn't really like my corn drink. It was a bit bland even after I mixed it.

Since portion size was really small, we also ordered a bowl of crab fish fin soup and fried shrimp cakes. These were ok. The soup had a bitter after taste.

The owner was there and it appeared he had friends over as they were sharing a bottle of wine. He came over and talked excitedly with us and said he made extra Ovaltine pudding so will give it to us to try as it's not on the menu. I'm unsure if he felt we were foodies or what but he showed us his concept of offering a set dinner for $350 that seemed more like a private kitchen. He mentioned he wanted to offer what was fresh on the market and cook it for customers. He then told a waiter to get us some cheese baked stuffed crab shells that he was trying. Though not much crab meat, it was really tasty. I liked the baked cheese.
Then he gave us the Ovaltine pudding. It was yummy. Then he chopped some poached chicken. Also not on the menu but he wanted us to try. It was a bit too rare but tasty. I think he would have kept giving us more food for free if we didn't leave.
