I had an amazing time with my friends in this brand new Japanese restaurant. Silencio offers a wide range of sakes, and we all opted for a glass to start our evening with.
We started our dinner with the hamachi and scallop sashimi dishes, onsen egg salad and California yoga maki, each beautifully presented.
We all loved the rock shrimp and maitake mushroom tempura and I was especially impressed with the rich aroma and gamy flavor of the mushroom. The batter was light and crispy, and the dipping sauce for the shrimp was awesome - tangy with the perfect amount of spice. We finished with the Karaage chicken and wagyu steak. While we loved the slight numbing sensation of the chicken, our favorite in the end was definitely the perfectly cooked wagyu beef.
Lastly, the Silencio team did a great job taking care of us, introducing every dish in detail and always with a smile. I’m sure that I will be there very soon again.
