Korean food has been one of my favourite cuisine in recent years. As I tried to recall when I first got into Korean food, I realised it started during my years in London, when we would go to seoul bakery for a quick meal here and there. Situated in a side street just off of Tottenham Court Road, I have been there at least a couple times each year. Seoul bakery was probably the first time I had ventured beyond ordering a Bibimbap and Korean japchae to kimchi pancakes, gimbaps and kimchi jjigae.Fr
Fried chicken actually wasn’t my go-to Korean food, but I have to say the baked chicken by Goobne is just a different story altogether. Extremely saucy and satisfying without having to consume all that deep fried batter, and a great sauce of protein too! We tried the Goobne Pepper Spicy 香脆辣椒烤雞, and it is for sure my favourite flavour of theirs to date! The perfect kick of spice without leaving the eater choking and gasping for water. The crispy skin added a new dimension to the tender texture of the chicken, it was so incredible that I almost forgot about it being baked chicken as opposed to fried!

Korean japchae 韓式炒牛肉粉絲 has been a childhood favourite of mine for as long as I can remember. They were very generous with the portion size, the beef was tender and the seasoning was spot on, definitely enough for a part of 3 or 4!
