Recently been to this restaurant for dinner, have to say this is one of the better sushi places in HK, with food quality not much different to those in Japan.I've made reservation in advance for counter seat, so I can order one by one, and see the chef preparing each. The chef who served us is a Chinese guy, quite friendly, seemed properly trained, and he claimed he worked there for approx. 1.5 year since the restaurant opened. I've made reservation in advance for counter seat, so I can order one by one, and see the chef preparing each. The chef who served us is a Chinese guy, quite friendly, seemed properly trained, and he claimed he worked there for approx. 1.5 year since the restaurant opened. Sushi ordered include toro, hamachi, o-toro with surface slightly grilled, scallops, anago handroll, akagai, mirugai, uni, kinki with surface slightly grilled, huge sized amaebi, etc. Each and every piece is amazingly fresh and tasty. The shop is willing to import high quality meat such as uni and amaebi from Hokkaido, and mirugai from both Canada and Japan, as well as the pricy kinki. This could be quite risky from a business perspective, as sushi meats are highly perishable, and money will simply go down to the drain if not a constant flow of customers. I've also ordered miso soup and grilled tuna head, the former is nothing special whereas the latter is again above average. With such food quality and based on what I've ordered, I would say $600 per head is more than reasonable. The slight drawback is parking is not as convenient nearby.
Will surely go back again some time soon!
