Friday get together with good friends and cheers to the weekend! The pani puri is like a deep fried puff with a basket of spices. You pour some soup inside and enjoy them one by one at a bite. The pani puri is like a deep fried puff with a basket of spices. You pour some soup inside and enjoy them one by one at a bite. The taste was nice and it’s an interesting appetiser.
This drink is called Coco, its taste was full of coconut water. The glass was topped of an edible printed butterfly and a slice of dried citrus with a bunch of dried coconut flakes. Nice one- not overly sweet.
We tried the Nepali momo dumpling in two styles. The first we had the steamed cheese dumplings and the second round we had the deep fried pork dumplings. The former one was definitely the winner, folded like roses and they taste fabulous with melted cheese stuffed inside. The pork one was ordinary like Chinese potstickers. The dipping sauce gave a little spicy kick and I like it.
Alur Dom was fried potatoes, covered in a heavy colour of spices. It was quite yummy and spicy. However I couldn’t take much because of its high carbs content.
The truffle pizza was sprinkled with rockets and other greens: less heavy-tasting because of the vegetables. The base was made up of tomato sauce and cheese, and then the truffle sauce and mushrooms were put on top, not very impressive because the flavour of each ingredient stood on their own.
Finally there came the chicken tacos- which tasted also normal and ordinary. The taco shells were a bit cold and didn’t crisp up. The chicken also tasted mild with the shredded cabbages. There was a small dollop of sour cream and a wedge of lime. After all, we all agreed the winner of that night was the steamed cheese momo dumpling!
