Everyone needs a gimmick. Especialy when you have so many places serving the same thing. And that same thing is soft serve ice cream. Soft serve ice cream with honeycomb. How many do shops do we have now? So, in order to stand out from the flock of sheep, you need a gimmick. And Soft Creme's gimmick is called liquid nitrogen.Wait? Liquid nitrogen? Isn't that what Lab Made does? Do they make soft serve ice cream by churning it away in a blender and razzle dazzle! ICE CREAM!!!No. Sorry to burst yo

No. Sorry to burst your bubble, but they put the liquid nitrogen in a cup and put the ice cream on top so it smokes away.
I came here on a Sunday and saw there was no line. So, I ordered myself a cup of ice cream. They have four different flavors and a monthly alcohol based flavor. This month is Choya. Choya didn't entice me, so I chose macaron and cinnamon. I had a choice of macaron flavor: passion fruit or raspberry. I chose passion fruit. I saw them place some water in the cup and squeeze some ice cream into a smaller cup. Liquid nitrogen was place inside the bigger cup and the smaller ice cream cup was placed on top. Then the smoke came.
Pretty cool looking, huh? Definite photo moment. Ice cream was ok. It was plain milk flavor. Smooth though not as silky as the other competitors. The macaron was chewy and really .... didn't taste like anything other than sugar. Sadly, even McCafe's macaron was better than their macaron.
A definite gimmick for an otherwise average ice cream. It'll look cool and get your lots of likes on Facebook. But yeah...nothing more than a gimmick.
