I've been to Qi on one other occassion and came back because the ginger beef was so good the first time. This time around, it did not disappoint - the crispy sugar coated pieces of tender meat covered in sichuan flavour is so delicious, it's very tempting to order another serving. Be warned about the extra $30 charge for the 'appetisers' they bring to your table once you are seated - three little bowls of pickled vegetables. I think it's quite unfair for the restuarant to charge for these, considering they don't even ask if you want them and don't inform you that there is a charge for them. I've heard about this happening at other Sichuan resturants, so I was a bit wary. We had a little taste but didn't find them anything special.
Drinks are also extremely overpriced - $45 for a glass of soft drink but I guess you are paying for the nice ambience, modern furnishings and fancy crockery. Service was good and efficient, but at then end of the day, I would only come back for another taste of the ginger beef.
