There aren’t that many nice Western breakfast/brunch spots for people living in the Southwest part of HK Island. You can go to Cyberport, but Aberdeen eateries are pretty local and basic.Bread and Bistro is a great option. We ordered the all-day breakfast, consisting of eggs-your-way, a nice sausage, bacon, beef patty (can sub smoked salmon), mushrooms, cooked tomatoes, baked beans, hash brown, bun.
We also ordered soufflé pancakes, also known as Japanese fluffy pancakes, with a scoop of gelato.
I’ve always been interested in trying this; it was all the rage in HK the past year. I didn’t like it. It doesn’t taste like a pancake at all, more like an eggy tasting soufflé. There must be a ton of egg whites in it. It tasted like an eggy mousse. Just had no resemblance to a pancake at all.
Anyhoo...this is a great spot if you live in Bel-Air or Aberdeen, and are looking for a nice brunch hangout spot. Great service. They hv sandwiches, muffins, donuts, bakery items, and gelato to go also.
