It's a rather empty cafe at 5.40 pm and I was in search for an early light dinner. This cafe's atmosphere occurred to me to be crisp and clean, almost a little too cool but for the interesting menu and soft music. I decided to go in upon knowing that they have wifi access and salads with appealing ingredients such as salmon, pumpkin, sherry vinegar, beetroot, feta cheese... Other options include panino, mains, and desserts with simple but elegant looks (panna cotta etc). They have coffees and teas alike.
I ordered the beetroot, orange and feta cheese salad, with nuts splattered around and vinegar dressing. It was, just like the cafe itself, simplistic yet appealing. I like the combo of ingredients which makes it refreshing. My only complaint is that the oranges are in large cuts so I find it a challenge to eat a combo of ingredients in one go, with my small asian mouth.... oh well xD
Oh. And it's not that cheap - around 80 to 90 for each salad.
They have tap water on request - which they refill voluntarily
I might come again. They have potential to improve the value for money and I hope they will!
Critique:
- Good interrior design and reasonably spacious.
- Simplistic yet elegant spread of food.
- Reasonable service
- Eating utensils are of rather high quality
- Could improve how they cut up ingredients on the salad to allow the ingredients the blend better
- Not very filling
