I was lucky enough to be taken here for a birthday dinner back in December. We had heard about this place through a friend and decided to give it a try. Once we arrived, we were greeted by a rather random 1900's diving suit submerged in a tank, which I thought was quite novel and interesting and thus, set the tone of the place. Inside is snazzy, rustic, exotic and classy and a whole bunch of adjectives that seem to contradict one another, but anyhow, I really liked the atmosphere inside; it
Firstly, they were kind enough to acknowledge my birthday and gave me a hand-written card and later on some handmade chocolates, which I thought was quite a nice touch.As it was approaching Christmas, we both went for the roast beef from the Xmas menu, which began with a delicate, well balanced salmon tartare, which certainly gave us great expectations for the main. The beef was tender and really enjoyable with 2 generous pieces, accompanied by crispy roast potatoes, some vegetables, Yorkshire puddings and surrounded by a decent amount of gravy (just the way I like it). On top of this, we also had a portion of cauliflower cheese which was one of the best I've tasted. If I was to make a minor criticism, it would be that the number of potatoes was fairly sparse and the Yorkshire puddings weren't as light and crispy as I'm used to in the UK and didn't really add much to the meal overall.

I might add that I thought the staff were quite nice and courteous but perhaps that night a little under-attentive or understaffed, though overall, nothing to complain about.
FINAL VERDICT:
Great for a treat and worth a try! I will be back to try the Beef Wellington at some point.
