I've always heard about Gough on Goughs but the price has always been prohibitive. when restaurant week came around I was so happy to secure a lunch booking. sadly, it was not what I had hoped... entree was some cold cuts of meat and bread, main was fish and chips... typical pub food though it was cooked well. the lemon tart was so sour it was uneatable. the second dessert was some berries and whipped cream. the waiter was very professional though I don't know why they cram the customers into o

這天是5月之星的朋友生日,去這間Gough's on Gough享受一下fine dinner. 之前和閏蜜們來過一次吃lunch, 這天晚上我們也沒有點dinner set,Alacart點食物,感覺好像比上一次食lunch更豐富和好味,這次因為人數多,約15人,點了魚子醬三文魚、crab cake、beef tarter、fish tarter、crab toast 等做前菜,主菜點了willengtane beef。對這餐Fine Dine感到滿意,食物質素高,環境好,極多打卡位,所用的餐具也講究,每個人用的主餐具也是不同圖案,有趣!

Gough’s on gough is a modern British restaurant in Hong Kong. It’s my first time here and we are having lunch this time. Reserved a table for 3 at 1pm, not many choices on lunch set menu but the price is good in central. I had Salmon and Crème brûlée; my colleagues ordered the tomato salad and pasta. All dishes are good and we can’t wait to try the dinner menu soon.

餐廳的名字很特別,位於歌賦街(與聞名的九記牛腩和勝香園在同一條街上),餐廳一半是酒吧,一半是用餐區,洒吧座位比吃飯的座位還要多一點,所以大家來這裏用膳,先預約比較好。用餐環境不錯,看得出用心裝置了一番,服務也很好,服務員帶着笑容介紹菜式,而價錢是一分錢 一分貨,正常中高檔西餐價位。我和友人點了鮮蟹肉多士、窩蛋牛肉他他、羊架、慢煮豬肉和咖啡布丁。先說鮮蟹肉多士,可以選加北海道海膽或魚子醬,我加了魚子醬,配合超鮮甜蟹肉和脆脆的多士,層次口感非常好。而窩蛋牛肉他他,入口清新開胃。主菜羊架是慢煮的,表面不是煎脆的那種煮法,但卻保留了嫩滑的肉質。而這道慢煮豬肉,口感難以形容,又嫰又爽囗,配上帶芥末味的醬汁,滋味無窮。最後以英式傳統的咖啡布丁,為這頓晚餐畫上完美句號。

網上搵特色飲酒聚腳地,比佢門面嘅潛水員吸引,事實又幾有特色(雖然去到見到係有少少嚇親😂,因為好巨型)起初我地唔知佢地食dinner 同飲野係會有唔同menu,但又想食少少野之下,所以同佢講食dinner, 但最後發現無野啱食,就叫waiter 有咩cocktail 介紹,咁佢就介紹左dinner menu 入面幾款,咁我地就先叫左兩杯先,但坐坐下有d痕,想轉位,所以同waiter講我地只想飲野唔食野,想轉位,佢就帶番我地去飲野區,再比另一個drink menu 我地,完全唔同dinner menu入面嘅酒,而且有Happy Hour同多款d其實就算食dinner,都可以比埋drink menu 比顧客多幾個選擇吧!所以有d感覺不良好。兩杯酒尚算可以但無咩特別!

This is my second time to this restaurant and I liked it quite much on my first visit although I've forgotten to take pictures hence didn't write a review on the place. The restaurant attracts you at the entrance with a fancy decoration. I personally find the general mood and decoration to be quite cool. It's like a mixture or fusion of new and old. It's got some very old school stuff such as seats and English hats as decorations but at the same time it's got a lot of mirrors and modern lighting

I personally find the general mood and decoration to be quite cool. It's like a mixture or fusion of new and old. It's got some very old school stuff such as seats and English hats as decorations but at the same time it's got a lot of mirrors and modern lighting.

Quite a clean menu that doesn't give you a lot of choices, as much as I liked the food, I did feel that it would be better if there are more varieties.

We ordered a la carte and I started my dinner with a "Braised Turkish Morels, Peas and Wild Garlic on Toast". I personally thought it was delicious and the fried toast was quite a good idea.

My main dish I ordered a "Roasted Wild Turbot, Grilled Romaine Lettuce, Braised Mushroom and Bois Bourdan". I think it was decent but a bit on the salty side.

British food has always had a terrible reputation and has been accused of cooking terrible food so usually I do not have too much expectations from British food. Nevertheless, Gough's delivers a nice twist to traditional British cuisine which makes it a lot more appealing. I'd definitely come again. 
Overall quite pleased with the meal, pricing however is probably on the high side given the food that was served.

My friend and I booked the restaurant for a special dinner menu at Restaurant Week through Dining City. The booking was made like a week before the date of dinner. We were in high anticipation of the dinner because the restaurant seems to have good reviews and the menu for that night looked special. My friend and I booked the restaurant for a special dinner menu at Restaurant Week through Dining City. The booking was made like a week before the date of dinner. We were in high anticipation of the dinner because the restaurant seems to have good reviews and the menu for that night looked special. However, we were so mistreated by the staff there and in the end we decided to walk away. Worse still, the restaurant LIED and reported to Dining City that we DID NOT SHOW UP - so the wrong of the non-fulfillment of our booking was on the customer!!

To go into the details, I went to the restaurant around 5 minutes before the booking time. The staff checked me in, while my friend was on her way rushing to the restaurant. We were given seats at a bar table which were extremely small and uncomfortable, chairs were short and we would not be able to properly eat when the table was so up there. I was very upset about the seating arrangement, because we have booked the restaurant for dinner like a week ago and still we could not be given a proper dining table. We were not going there for drinks!! I requested another seat and was then given the sofa area, which again with a tiny table and one of the chairs did not even have any back support. Who can dine there for 2 hours?? We did not expect that a restaurant of this caliber weren't even providing guests with proper table and chairs if they joined the Restaurant Week and claim that they have dinner menus!!

I talked to the staff and the staff's attitude was horrible. They claimed that: "oh yeh you booked a week ago but there were so many people who booked like a month ago!" So basically they asked us to live with it! The staff also said that the Restaurant Week page bookings are usually pushed BEHIND normal bookings, and hence they would never be able to give us a proper dining table even if we booked like a week ago. So damn pissed with such response, and so disrespectful. As both me and my friend felt so angry, I walked out of the restaurant after talking to her to look for another restaurant for dinner. The staff didn't even bother to apologize and stared at me with despise and contempt as I went!!! What sort of restaurant is this!?!!

This is the worst dining experience ever, and it was made even worse by the restaurant telling lies about its customers. I have also reported this to Dining City.

去尼度完成全係一張caviar on top的食品相片,真係靚到尼,尼个蟹件都好食既係加15g 或30g的魚子醬,价錢ok既,装修ok, 餐具靚既,但真係好细間,當晚冇乜人,如果吾係都好迫,加上樓底婑,要有心理準備吾係好舒服。如果生日訂枱有一靚生日卡,餐飲款式多選擇,个麵包同牛油冇乜特別,待應都几好,會提醒我地order too muchMain dish: Wellington beef 係目前我食过最好的,一個order可以开四件,魚就麻麻地,人地讚到上天个toffee dessert 甜到打冷震,人均消費可以的👌😋

You will first passed a quirky massive fish tanks , that you might not know it's. fish tank until you spent seconds to look carefully . And then going up the stairs, you will see all these interesting antique hanging on the walls. Each hardware is unique, you won't find any second pieces. I ordered mulled wine. It is lovely . Cannot believe I can have it even when it's not xmas , with queen and Charles ' faces on the cup.  It is indeed quite strong , but I didn't feel it coz it's so fruity and delicious.  That's brilliant .

Wow... One of the best feet Wellington I have ever had in Hong Kong . Perfect texture , unbelievably juicy with the magically stuff mushrooms stuff around. Sooo English... aw.........it makes you feel like you are back in London . It is definitely enough for two, proper.

在restaurant week 的推介下,今天一試這間位於中環歌賦街的Gough’s on Gough.餐廳的裝潢高雅,主要自然木色為主的餐桌配上高身皮製梳化和水晶燈,加上燈光昏暗,氣氛十足。Restaurant week lunch menu $208/ 3 courses with coffee & tea先送上麵包,麵包熱哄哄的,外皮脆香,滿有麥味,內𥚃輕柔軟熟,沾上香草牛油,更為味美。Appetizers Steak tartare & grilled sourdough toast這牛肉他他肉味濃厚,口感嫩滑,再拌以北海道生雞旦,更為滑溜濕潤。既有牛肉肉香,又夾有酸瓜粒平衡肉膩,加上豐盈旦汁和香脆多士,實在不錯。Ragu of beef, home made gnocchi, aged Parmesan & rocket這牛肉gnocchi賣相不錯。gnocchi 上鋪滿不少的碎牛肉。碎牛肉肉味鮮明,帶有濃厚的意式風味,蕃茄味突出。自家製gnocchi香軟帶一點Q韌,薯味十足,加上熟成的Parmesan 芝士和火箭菜,再拌以茄香肉醬,味道濃郁,有層次,真是一道美味的主食。感

這牛肉gnocchi賣相不錯。gnocchi 上鋪滿不少的碎牛肉。碎牛肉肉味鮮明,帶有濃厚的意式風味,蕃茄味突出。自家製gnocchi香軟帶一點Q韌,薯味十足,加上熟成的Parmesan 芝士和火箭菜,再拌以茄香肉醬,味道濃郁,有層次,真是一道美味的主食。感覺有少少似肉醬意粉,但無咁膩囗,口感也較為清爽。

這檸檬撻真可口!檸檬餡料充滿檸香,質地幼滑又creamy, 甜甜酸酸的,十分開胃,加埋曲奇脆撻底和冰凉的雪芭,十分酸爽清新!正!

這Flat white 真有水準!和咖啡專門店的不遑多讓。咖啡泡沫細密綿滑,除了奶感豐盈,又不會失去咖啡的醇香。呷一口咖啡,再吃一口甜脆的牛油曲奇,一樂也!


以$208有三個course 連飲品,性價比不錯,加上環境雅緻,可以一試。

一走進餐廳就被那旋轉樓梯所吸引,餐廳每一件擺設都很優雅,在這裡吃飯一半品嚐食物一半卻是在欣賞室內設計。點的是Tasting Menu,先來的就是一式兩款的悅口小吃和單點生蠔頭盤,生蠔味道很清新。第一道菜先來帶子,帶子切粒,口感很爽,配上羅勒醬,開胃。我今次點的主菜鱈魚配上帶有芝士味的豆醬汁,望落一大舊但魚肉可以一片一片分離出來,很滑身。友人點的牛肉賣相一般,味道也很一般。個人覺得這裡的海鮮比較出色。到甜品,看似普通的朱古力mousse加雪糕其實很有層次,不甜不苦,濃郁的朱古力味完全停留在味蕾上,甜品很出色。
