Ordered some hotpot takeaway food and wow, it did not fail to impress. Thoroughly full and satisfied by the end of the meal. For only HKD$149, you get a dinner for 2 which contained a soup base, large box of beef, a box of pork, seafood, udon, dumplings, lobster balls, sausages, cheese fish cakes, various vegetables and some sauces.EnvironmentAs we ordered takeaway, we didn’t get to go inside but from what I saw, it’s nicely decorated and with borders separating customers for better hygiene.Serv
Environment
As we ordered takeaway, we didn’t get to go inside but from what I saw, it’s nicely decorated and with borders separating customers for better hygiene.
Service
Great service. Recommended the set meal for 2 to us and answered questions we had with a great smile and attitude. Always nice to go to restaurants with friendly staff.
Food
Firstly, the food was not top quality but for its price, we did not expect it to be 5 star.
We chose the black garlic soup pork bone soup base and the smell was extremely strong and aromatic but actually tasting it, it was slightly bland.
The beef and pork was slightly on the tough side but was still full of flavour. The portion size was big as we didn’t actually manage to finish it.
Seafood was okay. Slightly disappointed as the prawns and scallops were not the freshest and was obvious when I sank my teeth into it.
The vegetables were extremely fresh as you can tell by the colour. Udon was of low quality with a clear lack of texture. The dumplings were actually sweetcorn and pork meat dumplings, which were absolutely delightful. The meat felt fresh and was bursting with flavour. The lobster balls, sausages and cheese fishcakes are standard and of average quality. They weren’t terrible but nothing special to comment on.
Overall, extremely pleased with the meal and it was great value for money. Will definitely order from this restaurant again.
