OK.. I only made up the date this time, but I grew up in HK - eventhough I'm not Shanghainese - my family has ALWAYS had 嘉湖粽 not only for 端午節 but also Chinese New Year.Every time I go back to HK for my travels, I try to see if someone could freeze some for me from the previous端午節 or CNY..... until.. last year when I saw them onsale at a 大閘蟹 shop in CWB.. OMG.. imagine my joy!! I really really love the savoury嘉湖粽... I bought two for breakfast the next day... ( I know.. what a pig...)now, thanks

now, thanks for Open Rice... I know the actual shop address.. I'm definitely going to pay a visit... it'd be like visiting Mecca or the Vatican for me I think... cannot wait until Feb 2010...
