I was in Admiralty and hungry. Not sure what to eat, I came across All In Noodles. Not wanting to spend a lot of money and wanted something quick (that wasn't the usual fast food places), I decided to give it a try.The shop is fairly large. Decor is colorful and clean.Menu is in English and Chinese. You order by writing right on the laminated menu. During afternoon tea time, they offer a free drink (+$2 for cold) with any order over $30. Pretty much everything is over $30 on the menu. You can also order a snack for $10.
I had a cold soy milk. It was pretty sweet and tasted like Vitasoy.
For two standard ingredients, it's $48. I chose rice noodles in their signature broth. My two ingredients was big fishball and braised tofu. I added braised chicken wings for $10 as it was a special item. It came with beancurd, beansprouts and spring onions.
The soup just tasted like MSG. There was no other flavor. Just super salty MSG. Actually, everything was super salty.
They gave me three pieces of braised tofu. It tasted like a block of salt.
They only gave one big fishball. It was big but you wished there was more? But then again, it wasn't that spectacular. Didn't have any fish flavor and tasted like a big bouncy ball.
A big stingy as they only gave one chicken wing. I don't think I've ever had a cart noodle place that really only gave one item. It was overcooked and oddly the only thing in the entire bowl that wasnt salty. It was actually not marinaded enough.
Digging around I found they threw in three pieces of pigs ear. Was this part of it? Or did they make a mistake? Whatever the case, I wasn't charged for it. It was actually one of the best things in this entire bowl.
The restaurant was clean but the food? Like eating mouthfuls of salt. Also, compared to other cart noodle places, a bit stingy for what you pay for and it does cost more than other places. Won't be back.
